Abstract: A baseboard radiator (10) for use in perimeter heating has a heating coil (11), a chassis (25) and a cover (23). The heating coil (11) has at least one fin (12), defining a front edge (13), a rear edge (14), an upper edge (15) and a lower edge (16) of the heating coil (11). The lower edge (16) has front (21) and rear (22) notches formed therein. The chassis (25) engages with the rear notch (22) and extends from the lower edge (16) over the rear edge (14) and the upper edge (15). The chassis (25) is further adapted for mounting the radiator (10) on a wall (28). The cover (23) engages with the front notch (21) and extends from the lower edge (16) over the front edge (13) and the upper edge (15) to engage between the chassis (25) and the wall (28).

Abstract: A set of panels including a first panel with a first main plane and a second panel with a second main plane. A first edge of the first panel is configured to be locked to a second edge of the second panel, wherein the first main plane is essentially perpendicular to the second main plane, and wherein the first and the second edges are locked in a first direction, which is perpendicular to the first main plane, and a second direction, which is perpendicular to the second main plane. The first edge includes an edge tongue, with a longitudinal direction along the first edge, including a bottom edge, a first surface and an opposite second surface. The edge groove and/or the edge tongue is/are configured such that a greater force is absorbed by the longitudinal central part than by an edge part at third and fourth edges.

Abstract: An improved trim molding system for use in construction comprises a molding base and a complementary pre-fabricated molding face. The base is easily installed on the surface of a location where a molding is desired. The molding face fits onto the base and is secured to the base by an adhesive material. The two-component system provides for secure fit and an aesthetically pleasing finished product.

Abstract: A fastening arrangement for glass balustrades for balconies, terraces and steps has a U-shaped receiving profile (1), between the two limbs (3, 5) of which a safety glass plate (39) is inserted. Dovetail grooves or T grooves (13) are embedded on the limbs (3, 5) of the receiving profile (1) and interact with corresponding dovetail grooves or T grooves on a fastening element (27). The fastening element (27) is first of all pushed into the grooves (13) on the receiving profile (1) and the fastening elements (27) are subsequently tightened at the destination. Any dimensional inaccuracy in the placing of the fastening elements (27) can be compensated for by moving the latter into other grooves in the receiving profile (1).

Abstract: A mounting clip for use in the construction industry. This device will be used to effectively and efficiently establish a gap under the bottom edge of a building wall board, such as sheet rock or gypsum boards. Hanging of building panels on wall assemblies in building construction projects is very common. The present invention is a gapping device which fits onto the bottom edge of sheet rock wall board like a shoe. The clip holds the sheet rock in position raised off of the floor while the sheet rock hanger permanently affixes the panel to the panel support area, typically a stud wall. The clip prevents moisture from wicking from the floor into the wall board material The clip is designed to become a permanent fixture in the final wall construction.

A channel base molding receives a unique configured U-shaped insert forming linear spaced and aligned viewing openings for an underlying contrasting base material achieving a hand crafted detailed look with a single overlying molding tunnel insert combination.

Abstract: A panel attachment arrangement for attaching a panel to a support having a pair of opposite sides each opposite side having an engagement lip which, in use, are on the opposite face of the support to the panel, the panel attachment arrangement including: a pair of first projections adapted to receive a pair of opposite sides of a support; each projection including an inward transverse second projection adapted to seat behind or in a corresponding one of the recesses in the support, wherein one or more of (a) the panel, (b) the first projections, or (c) the second projections are flexible or resilient, whereby the second projections can be resiliently splayed or flexed beyond the opposite sides of the support to engage the corresponding lip when the flexing force is removed.

Abstract: A trim piece for attachment to either an outside or an inside corner of a building for subsequently receiving and hiding the ends of a frieze board or siding panels, thereby providing a neat, smooth corner transition. Two inner flat surfaces converge at right angles to form a primary inner corner for abutting conformance with the building corner, and two outer trim elements defining respective two outer flat decorative surfaces converge at right angles to form an outer corner. Two mounting flanges extend in parallel with the respective inner flat surfaces, and are spaced parallel to and extend laterally beyond a respective outer trim element. The flanges and outer trim elements form a pair of vertical slots for receiving a frieze board or at least one siding panel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a clamping holder as well as to a pane assembly comprising such a clamping holder and to a method for producing such a pane assembly. Pane assemblies, which are injection molded on the edge side by a frame section, are known in the state of the art. In response to the production of the pane assembly, a retaining strip, which is embedded into the frame section through this after the injection molding process, is furthermore inserted into the injection molding tool. A retaining clamp, by means of which trim can be attached to the pane assembly in a clamping manner, must be attached to the retaining strip after the completion of the pane assembly. To avoid the requirement of subsequently attaching a retaining clamp, provision is made for a clamping holder comprising a connecting section and a clamp section, which is embodied such that connecting section and clamp section can together be inserted into an injection molding tool.

The conduit is adapted to be installed at the corner where a wall meets a ceiling. The conduit comprises a cable receiver, a cover therefore and a molding to be installed over the cover.

The second connecting part has a first engagement structure that is engageable with the clip of the first connecting part to restrain movement of the second connecting part with respect to the first connecting part in an insertion direction. The second connecting part also has a second engagement structure that is engageable with the stabilizer flange of the first connecting part to restrain movement of the second connecting part with respect to the first connecting part in an elevational direction.

The wainscot cap may be attached to the mounting clip used to secure the plurality of panels to a wall. More particularly, the wainscot cap and the mounting clip may have a tongue and groove connection.

Abstract: An article of flashing for a deck includes a channel with a back leg, a first side leg, and a second side leg and further includes an attachment flange fixedly connected to the channel where the channel is adapted to receive decking. A deck flashing system includes a deck with a surface and at least one edge, decking forming the surface of the deck, and flashing extending along the at least one edge, the flashing having a channel adapted to receive the decking. A method of trimming a deck includes erecting deck framing, installing decking on the framing, and installing flashing on at least one edge or the entire perimeter of the deck.

Abstract: This invention relates to a novel thermoplastic profile roofing strip and an apparatus for welding the thermoplastic profile roofing strip to a thermoplastic roofing membrane.

Abstract: A furring channel framing member for use with joists or studs of a structural support framework for a wall or ceiling includes one or more creases placed specifically to provide a location for curvature of the framing member. In some cases, the one or more creases may establish a flex joint that permits hand-bending of the framing member about such flex joint to create a desired curved configuration for the furring channel framing member. The creases may also or instead placed at pre-determined intervals in a manner that, through the creases themselves, establish a curvilinear configuration of the framing member.

Abstract: The invention is a joint cover assembly for covering a gap adjacent an edge of a panel that covers a sub-surface, and a method of covering such a gap. The assembly includes a molding having a foot, a first arm, and a second arm. The foot is positioned along a longitudinal axis, and the first arm extends generally perpendicularly from the foot. The second arm extends generally perpendicularly from the foot. A tab depends generally perpendicularly from the first panel engaging surface. At least one of the tab and the foot engage the edge in order to tightly fit within the gap. The method includes the steps of placing the foot in the gap, pressing the respective panel engaging surfaces into contact with respective panels, and configuring at least one of the tab and the foot to cooperate to retain the molding in the gap when the assembly is in an installed condition.

Abstract: Described are a new type of storm windows, along with an easy way (and less expensive) of installing the press-fit storm window, on existing frames or windows, without the hassle and expense of replacing the whole window (to save time, cost, and inconvenience), to increase R-value (insulation efficiency) for the windows (i.e. reduce energy waste). This relates to the construction and installation and use of easily installed low cost interior or exterior storm windows, which are attractive and effective in reducing heat and noise transmission. Different approaches and variations to implement this are shown here.

Abstract: A device is described for the frontal termination of a floating-laid floor covering (3) having a terminus profile (4) and having a fastener fitting (5) for the terminus profile (4) resting on a subfloor (2). To provide advantageous design conditions, it is suggested that the fastener fitting (5) be connected in a shear-resistant manner to the floor covering (3) and have a rest (8) for the terminus profile (4) butt-jointed on the front face (1) of the floor covering (3).

Abstract: A protecting wall board assembly for houses, including two “?” shaped column and a plurality of hollow flat plates. The “?” shaped column has a guiding slot and corresponding first arm and second arm. The first arm is connected with a bent section. The second arm is connected with a protruding rib. Corresponding first engaging portion and second engaging portion are provided on an upper end portion and a lower end portion of the hollow flat plate. A plurality of hollow flat plates are accommodated in the guiding slot of the two “?” shaped column, and are fixedly joined together with the first and second engaging portions. The hollow flat plates are fixed between the bent section and the protrusion tube. The parts are of simple structure, can be easily manufactured, assembled, and disassembled, and can be used for the windows and doors having different widths and heights.

Abstract: An apparatus is described for fastening a finishing strip (2) with a support (1) forming a wall leg (4), which support comprises at least one upwardly protruding holding web (8) engaging in a downwardly open groove (9) of the finishing strip (2) for clamping accommodation of the finishing strip. In order to enable securing the finishing strip (2) in the mounting position it is proposed that the support (1) comprises at least one resilient securing tongue (10) with a leg extending approximately parallel to the holding web (8), which securing tongue overlaps a securing stop (12) of the finishing strip (2) which extends transversally to the holding web (8).

Abstract: An improved roofing method and assembly having a fascia cap designed to prevent water from moving through capillary action back towards the roof. The assembly has an a elongated drip edge running back the bottom edge of the fascia cap that displaces water away from the roof, preserving the integrity of the roof and building walls below. A blocking strip attaches the fascia cap to the roof, maintaining the assembly and helping the flow of water away from the roof.

Abstract: An edge molding providing an edging for a floor covering such as a carpet, rug, tile and the like floor coverings comprising a stepped-molding which attaches to a subfloor edge through a hook and loop means to provide an edge molding for a floor covering which floor covering is attached to the subfloor through a means of a hook and loop arrangement.

Abstract: A method of using an assembly and a method of finishing an uppermost course of siding installed at a corner of a building with a cornice molding. A cornice molding cap is provided as an accessory to cover or eliminate gaps created where cornice molding meets at a corner of a building. The cap covers gaps where cornice molding meets at a corner structure formed by two walls. The cap is particularly useful in exterior siding installations at corners not employing corner posts having receiver pockets for cladding material end edges.

Abstract: A siding trim clip having a substantially N-shaped profile is formed having a first gripping portion and a second biasing portion. The gripping portion includes a curved upper arch having an interior with opposing inwardly and upwardly oriented gripping fingers, arranged for accepting and securing an edge location of a siding member by way of a triangular gripping pattern. The biasing portion includes a lower inverted arch and linear portions for providing an outward biasing of the edge location of a siding member to hold it away from a wall structure and up against an outside edge of a pre-established finishing cavity. Abstract: A skirt guard for a mobile home skirt having a skirt base on the ground and in a channel of which the bottom of the skirt sits. The skirt guard is formed of a flat elongate panel with a top and bottom edge and having a groove near and parallel to its bottom edge. In use the bottom edge of the skirt guard is bent upward along the groove to form a hook. To install the skirt guard the hook is inserted into the skirt base channel alongside the bottom of the skirt and the hook fastens the skirt guard in the channel.

Abstract: The edge of a construction element, such as a sandwich panel having a core and two outer layers, is closed such that forces acting on the construction element are directed to the outer layers and generally not through the panel core. A portion of the core may be removed to define a cavity within the construction element. A bonding material closes the edge by filling the cavity and forming a new edge that is substantially coplanar to the edges of the outer layers. The edge also can be closed by inserting the edge into a U-profile bracket and connecting the outer layers of the panel to side walls of the U-profile bracket.

Abstract: The invention relates to a window unit (10) comprising a window pane (11) and a frame (12). The frame (12) consists of two parts, a basic frame (15) and an additional frame (16). The basic frame (15) has a bearing surface (17) which contacts the window pane (11) to which the frame is permanently fixed by means of an adhesive layer (19) deposited on the bearing surface. The basic frame (15) further comprises a connecting surface (21) for the additional frame (16). Said additional frame (16) in turn also has a connecting surface (21) of the basic frame (15). The two frame parts (15; 16) are removably or permanently joined together via their connecting surfaces (21; 26).

Abstract: A cornice molding cap is provided as an accessory to cover or eliminate gaps created where cornice molding meets at a corner of a building. The cap covers gaps where cornice molding meets at a corner structure formed by two walls. A method of finishing a corner molding installation is described, as is a system for finishing such installation, and an assembly including a unitary cornice molding corner cap.

Abstract: A handrail assembly is provided which may be attached to a wall or stairwell using conventional mounting hardware. The handrail consists of a substantially flat panel having a series of grooves on opposite sides of an upper edge and a lower edge of the panel. Within the respective oppositely spaced grooves, a thermoplastic extruded slit tube is inserted into the grooves providing a curved gripping portion of a handrail. The substantially flat panel has exterior surfaces of a thermoplastic polymer, thereby providing a handrail assembly having outer surfaces of a damage resistant, easily repair, long wearing polymer.

Abstract: A framing member for use in a bleed sign construction assembly, the construction assembly including a projecting mounting surface and at least one construction light fixture arrayed proximate to the projecting mounting surface which is encased within a light permeable covering material. A substantially elongate and joinable member includes a body with a selected width and height in cross section and a longitudinally extending channel which reveals an interior cavity of the body. A first flange extends longitudinally from along a first side of the body and secures to the mounting surface to arrange the body at a spaced distance therefrom. A second flange extends longitudinally from along a second and opposite side of the body terminates along a remote extending edge. A plurality of the framing members are connected in end to end fashion to form a closed perimeter and the covering material is anchored within the interconnected channels and drawn across the framing members.

Abstract: A shutter system having a clip that facilitates installation of a decorative cover over a frame rail is provided. The shutter system includes a frame rail, a clip and a decorative cover, the clip being installed in a channel on the frame rail and engaging a channel on the decorative cover to provide a secure fit.

Abstract: A suspended ceiling comprising a pair of parallel main grid tees, the tees being of the type having its panel supporting flange forming a hollow with a downwardly open slot, a plurality of identical stabilizer bars spacing said main grid tees a predetermined distance, trim strips assembled on said main grid tees, the trim strips each having a first portion hooked into the hollow flange of a respective tee and a second portion abutting a web of the respective tee, the stabilizer bars being arranged to engage opposite sides of reinforcing bulbs of the main grid tees to hold the same against relative lateral horizontal movement from their desired positions, the stabilizer bars engaging the trim strips in a manner that holds their second portions in abutment with the webs of their respective tees. The stabilizer bars are formed of sheet metal and have bendable tabs that can be bent to hold said trim strip second portions in contact with the webs of their respective tees.

Abstract: A screen wall system that provides the ability to form a screen wall using just a few, particular channel members and corresponding adapter members. One of the few, particular channel members is a “U” channel member that can be used to form other types of channel members. Each adapter member can be removably attached to one or two channel members to form “F” channel members, “H” channel members and corner members that are collectively used to assembly a screen wall.

Abstract: A soffit and fascia system for use on an exterior of a building that includes a soffit member, a soffit flashing, a fascia member, and a fascia flashing. The soffit flashing is adapted to be secured to an exterior of the building and to retain the rear portion of the soffit member in a desired configuration with concealed fasteners. The fascia flashing may be adapted to be coupled to the fascia member in the lower portion thereof and adapted to at least partially retain the forward portion of the soffit member in the desired configuration. The soffit member may include two or more soffit segments.

Abstract: The edge protector, especially for stair edges, comprises of a step profile and a base profile being fixable on a stair. The step profile has a step part and a step riser flange that is formed thereat, and the base profile comprises a base plate on which a support arrangement is formed. The step profile being non destructively unlockably fixable onto the base profile by means of a continuously height adjustable mounting, comprises fastening means, and a downwardly directed rib being formed at the base plate.

Abstract: A safety bumper, and method for covering edges and corners of a street sign, has an elongate bumper element and a clip element. The elongate bumper element has a pliable body, a generally U-shaped cross-section for fitting around the edges and corners of the street sign, and two ends. The pliable body has a thickness for preventing the street sign from causing injuries, while the pliable body is still pliant enough to wrap closely around the corners of the sign without bulging away from the street sign, enabling the elongate bumper to cover substantially all of the edges and corners. The clip element functions to clip together or otherwise fasten the two ends of the elongate bumper element.

Abstract: An architectural member having a mounting bracket defining an interior cavity open to the rear and having apertured walls, a decorative body composed of rigid expanded foam and a bracket recess receiving the mounting bracket, and an expanded adhesive disposed within said interior cavity and bonding the decorative body to the mounting bracket and the mounting bracket to a building wall in addition to mechanical fasteners. The mounting bracket and decorative body are structured such that the decorative body is retained on the mounting bracket in a snap-fit manner independently of the adhesive. To mount the architectural member on a wall, the mounting bracket is fastened to the wall using mechanical fasteners, the adhesive is deposited in the bracket recess of the decorative member and/or the interior cavity of the mounting bracket and the decorative member is snapped onto the mounting bracket.

Abstract: A fabric wall panel system includes fabric wall panels mounted by means of a ceiling track with a downwardly open channel and a base track with a panel support surface. Each fabric wall panel is mounted by inserting the top of the fabric wall panel into the downwardly open channel and supporting the fabric wall panel on the panel support surface of the base track. The fabric wall panel may be custom fabricated to eliminate vertical seams or provided in standard size panels with vertical seams between panels. A corner trim piece hides the vertical seam at the corner of the room, a vertical seam trim piece hides the vertical seams, and an outside edge trim piece covers exposed edges of the wall panels. The base track includes a removable trim attachment strip with decorative trim. The base track may be used to trim around openings such as windows.

Abstract: A wall covering for a pair of wall surfaces that form a corner. The wall covering includes (1) plurality of wall panels each having a plurality of horizontal tiers of simulated building elements and (2) a plurality of corner moldings each having a single tier of building elements. The corner moldings each have mounting flanges and an interlock and alignment pin that facilitate adjustable positioning of the corner molding with a selected tier of building elements of an adjacent wall panel. The corner molding mounting flanges and building elements further define relatively deep wall panel receiving pockets for positively retaining the side of an adjacent wall panel and forming a water barrier.
