    Abstract: The invention provides a rubber composition for golf balls which includes (A) a base rubber containing a polybutadiene having a cis-1,4 bond content of at least 60 wt %, (B) an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, and (C) a benzimidazole of general formula (1) or (2) below wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group of 1 to 20 carbons, and m is an integer from 1 to 4, with the proviso that if m is 2 or more, each occurrence of R may be the same or different. The golf ball rubber composition of the invention enables a high-quality molded and crosslinked product having a suitable hardness and a high resilience to be obtained.

    Abstract: An inkjet ink composition comprising: (a) water; (b) dispersed pigment particles; and (c) at least one humectant; wherein the pigment particles are present from about 4.5% by mass to about 10% by mass, and the pigment particles have a mass weighted mean Stoke's diameter of from about 35 nm to about 70 nm wherein the Stoke's diameter is determined by differential centrifugal sedimentation of the particles through a fluid in a disc centrifuge. The present invention employs specified sedimentation particle sizing criteria for selection of appropriate pigment particle sizes at high pigment concentrations to obtain improved ink performance. Further embodiments of the invention also demonstrate that the criticality of humectant types and levels employed in an ink can also become much more important at high pigment loading in order to obtain desired performance.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an elastomer-conductive filler composite with improved dielectric properties. The composite includes conductive fillers and an ionic liquid dispersing the conductive fillers. The ionic liquid is used as a dispersant to effectively enhance the dispersion of the conductive fillers, achieving a high dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss of the composite without deteriorating the physical properties of the conductive fillers. The use of the ionic liquid can reduce the number of processing steps and the presence of the conductive fillers at a low concentration in the composite can minimize deterioration of the physical properties of the elastomer. Further disclosed is a method for producing the composite.
