Abstract: The present invention discloses a thermosetting resin composition including: a bi-functional or multi-functional epoxy resin, a SMA uses as a curing agent, an allyl phenol such as diallyl bisphenol A used as a co-curing agent and a toughening agent a low-bromine or high-bromine BPA epoxy resin or tetrabromobispheno A (TBBPA or TBBA) uses as a flame retardant agent, and an appropriate solvent. After the resin composition of the invention is cured, the resin composition has lower dielectric property and better thermal reliability and tenacity. A copper clad laminate made of an enhanced material such as glass fiber has lower dielectric constant (Dk) and loss tangent (Df), high Tg, high thermal decomposition temperature (Td), better tenacity and PCB manufacturability, and thus very suitable to be used as a copper clad laminate and a prepreg for manufacturing PCBs or applied as a molding resin material for contraction, automobile and air navigation.

  • Patent number: 6635683
Abstract: A memberane sensitive to anions is obtained by forming into a membrane either a composition comprising an onium salt compound such as trioctylmethylammonium chloride or tetraoctylammonium bromide, and an aromatic boric diester compound such as (p-alkyloxy)phenyl borate, or a composition which comprises these two ingredients and a membrane-forming polymer such as polyvinyl chloride or polystyrene, and may further contain a fat-soluble anion salt such as tetraphenyl borate. This membrane can yield an ion-selective electrode which permits hydrogencarbonate ions contained in body fluids to be rapidly determined with high sensitivity and high selectivity and which has a long life.

  • Patent number: 6627278
Abstract: An injection blow-molded disposable tumbler is formed from a polymeric material and includes a fortified upper rim having a thickness greater than the adjacent sidewall. The tumbler may be formed of a variety of resinous materials and exhibits improved toughness and crush resistance as well as aesthetic qualities particularly desired by consumers. In a particularly preferred embodiment, thick-walled polycarbonate tumblers are prepared from hydrolysis-stabilized polycarbonate compositions while minimizing molded-in stress. In still further embodiments, nanocomposites compositions are used to form the containers of the invention.
