Abstract: The invention relates to polyurethane compositions which comprise at least one cycloaliphatic isocyanate group bearing polyurethane polymer P and at least on cycloaliphatic dialdimine. Compositions of this type are especially suitable as elastic adhesives and sealing agents and as coating materials and are characterized by their photostability and good storage stability while having good processing properties. The compositions according to the invention cure quickly, without forming bubbles and giving off odors. When cures, they are highly stable and have little surface tack and little tendency to exudates components that are capable of migration.

Abstract: The present invention relates to dialdimines of the formula (I) and emulsions and uses thereof. In particular, they can be used for the preparation of pasty curing agent or accelerator components for polymers having isocyanate groups, which lead to very high early strength, which have good flow behaviour on pumping and which can be formulated without VOC solvents, in particular without N-alkylpyrrolidones. These components can be homogeneously or inhomogeneously mixed in an outstanding manner, in particular in a laminar manner, with components which contain polyurethane polymers having isocyanate groups, the two-component compositions thus obtained curing rapidly, having extremely high early strength and remaining without annoying weaknesses.

  • Patent number: 7655718
Abstract: Zinc carbonates such as carbonic acid zinc salt, zinc carbonate hydroxide monohydrate, zinc bicarbonate, zinc tetraamine carbonate, zinc ammonium carbonate, carbamic acid zinc salt and zinc carbamate can initiate hardening of polyurethane coatings and decrease the coating tack-free time. The decreased tack-free times facilitate earlier application of additional polyurethane layers and earlier return of a coated article to service, and can provide improved floor finishes.
