The polyimide based adhesives of the invention also contain an aramid micro fiber filler in an amount from 5 to 75 weight percent, based upon the total weight of the polyimide based adhesive. The fiber filler can be used to lower CTE of the overall adhesive to match (or nearly match) the CTE of other materials like metal, silicon wafers, other polymers (including polyimide) and the like.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2010Date of Patent: February 28, 2012Assignee: E.I. du Pont de Nemours and CompanyInventors: Kuppusamy Kanakarajan, Arnold Frances

Publication number: 20120017910Abstract: Electret webs are presented which include a blend of a thermoplastic resin and a charge-enhancing additive. The charge-enhancing additives include a heterocyclic imide material which is free of fluorinated groups. The webs prepared from the blends may be in the form of films or non-woven fibrous webs. Non-woven microfiber webs are useful as filtration media.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2010Publication date: January 26, 2012Inventors: Fuming B. Li, John M. Sebastian, Marvin E. Jones, Daniel A. Publication number: 20110294385Abstract: A process for preparing a black colorant, preferably a black pigment, characterized in that a compound of the Formula (I) is reacted with a compound of the Formula (II) in a molar ratio of 1:2, in the presence of a catalyst which in water at 25° C. has a pK?4.5. For the definition of R1 to R7, refer to the description; preferably all are H. Likewise claimed are new crystal polymorphs obtainable by this process, and preferably single-phase mixed crystals. Also claimed are synergistic compositions. These compositions exhibit increased light stability in plastics stabilized with basic light stabilizers when they are pigmented with colorants of the invention rather than with known black pigments such as carbon black.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2009Publication date: December 1, 2011Applicant: BASF SEInventors: Thomas Eichenberger, Thomas Ruch, Ralf Bauer, Christoph Krebs, Ursula Luterbacher, Marc Maurer
