According to this process, it is possible to prevent gelation of the product in the graft-reaction, and the modified block copolymer obtained has excellent appearance characteristics, mechanical properties, and transparency.

Crosslinking is facilitated by photoinitiators, such as aryl diazonium and aryl iodonium salts liberating Lewis acids. By selecting the photoinitiator, it is possible to act on the spectral region where irradiation is effective.
