Abstract: A resin composition containing (A) a thermoplastic polyurethane; (B) a polymer having a hydroxyl group at the end of the molecular main chain, the main chain principally comprising a conjugated diene compound unit (I) which may or may not be hydrogenated and an aromatic vinyl compound unit (II); and (C) a polyacetal resin, at ratios of (A), (B) and (C) being 2.5 to 90% by weight, 2.5 to 90% by weight and 5 to 95% by weight, respectively, on the basis of the total weight of the (A), (B) and (C), is excellent in terms of tensile strength and tensile elongation, and impact resistance at ambient temperature and lower temperatures.
Abstract: A composition having enhanced fracture resistance comprising a heat curable reaction product of a fluorine-containing thermoset material and a fluorine-containing homopolymer, wherein the cured reaction product comprises the thermoset material having a plurality of discrete phases of said fluorine-containing homopolymer dispersed therein, the homopolymer phases being in the range of micron to submicron size.

Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition comprising:(a) about 20 to 80% by weight of polyphenylene ether resin comprising at least one structural unit in its backbone represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein (b) about 0.01 to 10% by weight of a modified aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin produced by modifying an aromatic hydrocarbon-formaldehyde resin which is obtained by reacting alkyl benzene with formaldehyde, using a modifying agent reactive with its methylol group, methylene ether group, or acetal group;(c) about 2 to 30% by weight of a rubber-like polymer; and(d) about 20 to 80% by weight of a polyamide resin; and a method for its preparation.
Abstract: A crosslinkable composition comprising from 30 to 90 percent by weight of an epoxidized monohydroxylated polydiene polymer which is comprised of at least two polymerizable ethenically unsaturated hydrocarbon monomers wherein at least one is a diene monomer which yields unsaturation which is suitable for epoxidation, 8 to 60 percent by weight of an amino resin crosslinking agent, and 2 to 40% by weight of a reinforcing agent. The invention also encompasses a process to make such compositions by prereacting the three components with a small portion of the crosslinking catalyst required to crosslink the composition for 0.5 to 10 hours at 60.degree. to 120.degree. C. The preferred polymer for use herein has the formula(HO).sub.x --A--S.sub.z --B--(OH).sub.
Abstract: Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin composition comprising:30 to 97% by weight of at least one of (a) a crystalline thermoplastic resin component and (b) a non-crystalline thermoplastic resin component, 3 to 70% by weight of (c) a rubbery polymer component which is ununiformly mixed with at least one of Component (a) and Component (b) and 0 to 40% by weight of (d) an inorganic filler, wherein Component (c) forms a network and at least one of the ratio of flexural modulus of Component (a) to Component (c) and that of Component (b) to Component (c) is 5 or more.
