Publication number: 20030130460Abstract: Disclosed are soft, high refractive index, acrylic materials having an elongation of at least 150%. These materials, especially useful as intraocular lens materials, contain an aryl acrylic hydrophobic monomer as the single principal device-forming monomer. In addition to their use as intraocular lens materials, the present materials are also suitable for use in other ophthalmic or otorhinolaryngological devices, such as contact lenses, keratoprostheses, corneal inlays or rings; otological ventilation tubes and nasal implants.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2003Publication date: July 10, 2003Inventors: Charles Freeman, Douglas C. Publication number: 20030100695Abstract: Disclosed is an organic anti-reflective film composition suitable for use in submicrolithography, comprising a compound of Formula 13 and a compound of Formula 14 . The organic anti-reflective film effectively absorbs the light penetrating through the photoresist film coated on top of the anti-reflective film, thereby greatly reducing the standing wave effect. Use of organic anti-reflective films of the present invention allows patterns to be formed in a well-defined, ultrafine configuration, providing a great contribution to the high integration of semiconductor devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2002Publication date: May 29, 2003Applicant: Hyundai Electronics Industries Co., Ltd.Inventors: Jae-chang Jung, Keun-kyu Kong, Min-ho Jung, Sung-eun Hong, Ki-ho Baik

Patent number: 6548565Abstract: A non-aqueous coating composition based on an oxidatively drying alkyd resin and a photo-initiator. An acid or latent acid and one or more compounds of the group of vinyl ethers, acetals, and alkoxysilanes which are reactive in the presence of an acid are incorporated into the coating composition. The vinyl ethers, acetals, and alkoxysilanes preferably are covalently bounded to the alkyd resin. The ratio of the number of oxidatively drying groups present in the alkyd resin to the number of groups reactive in the presence of an acid preferably is in the range of 1/10 to 15/1. The acid preferably is the phosphoric acid dibutyl ester.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2000Date of Patent: April 15, 2003Assignee: Akzo Nobel NVInventors: Keimpe Jan Van Den Berg, Huig Klinkenberg, Arie Noomen
