Non 1,2-epoxy Or Nonphenolic Reactant Which Is A Fatty Acid Glycerol Ester, A Fatty Acid Or Salt Derived From A Naturally Occurring Glyceride, Tall Oil, Or A Fatty Acid Derived From Tall Oil Patents (Class 528/111.5)
Abstract: Methods of using a curable composition, the curable composition including at least one polyether having blocked hydroxyl groups as the plasticizer on at least one alkaline substrate. The curable composition is storage-stable, easy to handle and highly elastic after curing, and does not show any tendency to separate or migrate. It enables elastic bonding, sealing or coating of alkaline substrates, such as, in particular, fresh or green concrete or cement mortar, without occurrence of troublesome odors triggered by plasticizer hydrolysis.
Abstract: A method of producing functionalized graphene oxide includes mixing graphene oxide with a reactive monomer containing at least one epoxy functional group and a secondary functional group that is selected from vinyl, acrylate, methacrylate, and epoxy to form a mixture, adding an activation agent, heating and stirring the mixture, cooling the mixture, separating the particles from the mixture, and drying the particles to produce functionalized graphene oxide.

Abstract: Disclosed are salt compositions of lysinol and dicarboxylic acids; and lysinol derived polymers including polyamide, polyimide, polyurea, cross-linked polyurea comprising urethane linkages, polyurea foams, cross-linked polyurea foams, and lysinol-epoxy thermoset.
Abstract: A process is disclosed wherein ricinoleic acid from petroleum alternative vegetable castor oil that has a hydroxyl group at the 12-position or a derivative thereof (an ester or a hydrogenated compound thereof) is polymerized in the presence of a synthetic zeolite and an immobilized lipase at around normal temperature without using any harmful polymerization catalysts or organic solvents which can cause environmental pollution whereby a polyester useful in the industry that has a weight average molecular weight of 20,000 or more is obtained. This high-molecular weight polyester is crosslinked to give a crosslinked elastomer that is comparable to synthetic rubbers.
Abstract: A curable epoxy resin formulation comprising
a) 40 to 100% by weight of an epoxy group-terminated polyester of a dimerised or trimerised fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol, and 0 to 60% by weight of a diepoxide which is not an epoxy group-terminated polyester,
b) a hardener for epoxy resins consisting of 50 to 99% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene di- or triamine and 1 to 50% by weight of a hardener which is not a polyoxyalkyleneamine, and comprising as further optional components
c) a curing accelerator, and
d) customary modifiers for epoxy casting resins, with the proviso that the sum of the constituents in component a) as well as in component b) is in each case 100% by weight, is suitable for use as casting resin formulation for encapsulating electrical or electronic components.
