  • Publication number: 20120302720
Abstract: Provided is a novel polyazomethine which is soluble in relatively versatile organic solvents including hydrophobic solvents such as toluene, alcohol solvents such as methanol and ethanol, glycol solvents such as propylene glycol monomethyl ether, and ester solvents such as methyl lactate, while securing carrier mobility sufficient for a semiconductor material. The polyazomethine is a repeating unit that contains a divalent aromatic ring-containing conjugated group wherein an azomethine group and a divalent aromatic group which may have a substituent are alternately bonded and conjugated and a divalent hydrocarbon group which may have a group that is not conjugated with the azomethine group and has an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a cycloalkylene group, with the aromatic ring-containing conjugated group and the hydrocarbon group being bonded with each other via the azomethine group.
