The bag sealer includes a roll of adhesive tape and a rotatable star wheel having a number of radial recesses at equal angular distances for receiving an article to be bound with tape, and a peripheral surface.

Abstract: A rollstock support spool supports rollstock formed from a continuous web of bags of non-uniform thickness along their length. The spool has a hollow core and first and second opposed rims. The hollow core has opposed axial ends, an inner peripheral surface defining a tubular opening configured for mounting over a spindle, and an outer peripheral surface configured to support the rollstock. The rims are located at or near the first and second ends of the core, respectively. A radial spacing between the outer peripheral surface of the core and the outer peripheral surface of each of the rims is greater than a maximum thickness of the rollstock. Also provided are an unwinder assembly incorporating such a rollstock support spool and an automatic bagger incorporating such an unwinder assembly.

Another objective of the invention, besides maximizing muscle development, is to minimize the risk of injury during and after practices. The invention has a comfortable, tailor-made design shell (1), filled with filling material. The shell (1) of the filler can be filled or emptied during exercises (in-situ method). The shell (1) does not have any strips or handles on its outer surface. The shell (1) size is designed in a way that its size matches the shoulder width of the user. In addition, the device is equipped with a scale (3), which indicates the charge status.

Abstract: The main objective of this invention is a Mobile plant for dosing, mixing and packaging of powdery products, characterized because it is comprised of a carrying structure and several areas for: reception and weighing, loading, mixing, sack filling, sewing and labelling, metal detection, palletizing and cleaning. This invention is included within the industrial plants technical sector of manufacturing and mixing of powdery products.

Abstract: The invention comprises cutting blades useful for cutting tape in packaging processes and cutting assemblies or bag sealing assemblies using the blades. Generally, the blades comprise a support and a plurality of teeth attached to the support wherein a first set of a plurality of the teeth defining a flat tip are positioned on the support between a second set of a plurality of the teeth defining a sharp tip and a third set of a plurality of the teeth defining a sharp tip.

Abstract: A heat sealer including: a base bar equipped with a heater on a receiving section; and a pressure bonding lever facing the receiving section and capable of pressing and holding a sealing portion of a resin made sealing preform to accommodate contents therein from both sides, and the sealing portion of the resin made sealing preform placed on the receiving section and pressed by the pressure bonding lever to the receiving section side to hold the sealing portion between the receiving section and the pressure bonding lever, and current-heated and weld-sealed, wherein the base bar includes: a recording medium supplier supplying a recording medium from which specific information can be read to a predetermined position; and a recording medium transport machine transporting the recording media having been supplied to the predetermined position one at a time to the sealing portion, whereby the recording medium is sealable integrally with the sealing preform in a single piece.

Abstract: A self-aligning former assembly has a single-point mount for attachment to an automated form/fill/seal packaging machine. Substantially rectangular apertures in a plurality of mounting brackets are configured to fit snugly on corresponding substantially rectangular shoulders formed on a mounting post. The configuration inhibits pivoting motion of the former on the mounting post. In an illustrated embodiment, the mounting post is attached to a base plate with a plurality of spaced-apart fasteners which prevent rotational movement of the mounting post relative to the base plate. Radial attachments are used in the illustrated embodiment to secure the funnel portion of a product feed tube to the mounting apparatus. Paired upper and lower mounting brackets permit precise alignment of the device prior to affixing the radial attachments to the mounting brackets.

The cutter module has a cutter blade, for producing X-ray films by cutting a continuous sheet material. The packaging module has packaging robots, for producing a sheet package by packaging the X-ray films stacked on one another. In the sheet package producing system, a first module control unit is incorporated in the cutter module, for controlling the cutter blade. A second module control unit is incorporated in the packaging module, for controlling the packaging robots. A CPU is connected with the first and second module control units removably by a component network, for controlling the cutter module and the packaging module in synchronism.

Abstract: The bag top folder and labeler includes bottom and side conveyor assemblies for conveying a filled bag to extend between a pair of folder subassemblies wherein, with the bag top extending above the subassemblies, a second subassembly is operable to in cooperation with a first subassembly reversely fold the bag top relative to the second subassembly center folder and flap tuckers to form a generally Z-shaped bag top closure including ears extending outwardly in opposite directions and elevator mechanism for elevating the bag relative to the first subassembly to compensate for different densities of product in filled bags. Thereafter labeler mechanism applies labels to the folded bag top including to the ears, folds the ears downwardly along the end walls and wipes the labels to adhere to the ears and the bag front and rear end walls below the ears.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a tamper resistant seal on a plastic bag containing a loaf of bread or other products is disclosed. The neck of the bag is flattened, gripped between a pair of lower inboard and out board gathering belts adjacent opposite sides of a segment of the neck of the bag. A row of perforations is formed in the bag neck as the bag moves adjacent a roller provided with teeth or cutting elements. Heated air jets are directed to engage the segment of the bag bridging between the inboard and the outboard of the bag bridging between the inboard and the strip from the bag.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a tamper resistant seal on a plastic bag containing a loaf of bread or other products is disclosed. The neck of the bag is flattened, gripped between a pair of upper inboard and outboard gathering belts and a pair of lower inboard and outboard gathering belts adjacent opposite sides of a segment of the neck of the bag. A row of perforations is formed in the bag neck as the bag moves adjacent a roller provided with teeth or cutting elements. Heated air jets are directed to engage the segment of the bag bridging between the inboard and the outboard gathering belts for fusing panels of the bag together to form a sealed strip spaced from the row of perforations in the bag neck to facilitate removal of the sealed strip from the bag.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming and containing a series of waste containing packs successively distributed along a length of flexible tubing is formed of a housing with a top portion displaying an opening to receive waste material therein and of a cassette containing a package of a flexible pleated tubing and so constructed as to enable the tubing to be dispensed therefrom downwardly into the opening. The apparatus includes a tubing pulling device rotatably mounted to the housing and including an attachment for securing one end of the tubing and an arrangement to receive the tubing in a wraparound manner when the pulling device is rotated and to form waste containing packs. The arrangement defines folds between successive packs to compress the tubing at the folds to seal the packs. The pulling device is removably mounted to the housing so as to enable the disposal of the waste containing packs from the pulling device.

The carrier applies pressure through two of the rollers simultaneously against the tape during rotation of the turntable to seal the tape to the plastic sheeting and bag.
