Abstract: Systems and methods for vacuum compensation in hot-filled and cooled containers. Each container reduces, via one or more vacuum panels, a first portion of a vacuum created in the container. Each container also has a repositionable portion to reduce a second portion of the vacuum. During hot-filling, no portion of the repositionable portion extends below a standing or bearing surface of the container.

Abstract: The invention relates to a swallowable medication capsule capable 200 of dispensing fluid medicine stored in a medication compartment 211 through a valveless exit holt 207. A vent hole 206 enables ventilation of an actuator cavity 212 which houses an actuator used for displacing a surface 205 which separates the medication cavity 211 and the actuator cavity 212. By locating the vent and exit holes close to each other so that contact with contracting parts of the gastrointestinal tract and the exterior surface 221 is not able to prohibit a pressure passageway between the vent and exit holes, creation of a pressure difference of pressures in the medication and actuator cavity is prohibited.

Abstract: A bag loading and sealing system and method in which a continuous web of bags is continuously moved along a line. The web of bags is slit open to expose the interior of the bags and the bags of the web are separated from each other by a rod engaging perforated lines of separation between the bags. The open tops of the bags define a pair of flaps, each of which is gripped by a gripping chain, the paths of which diverge to form a mouth at the top of the bag. Material is deposited into the bag through the mouth and the gripper chains then converge to close the bag. The bags are transferred to gripper belts, with the top edge of the bag being slit off between the belts and the bags being transported through a hot air sealer where the remaining portions of the top of the bags are melted and fused together. A spool-type take-up winder is provided to retrieve the portion of the bags trimmed from the tops thereof.

The method comprises supplying at least one container for receiving the fluid medium. At least one energy unit is supplied. The energy unit effects—for example, complete—emptying of the fluid medium from the container when the transport and transfer receptacle is used. The fluid medium is introduced into the container and the container is closed. The fluid medium is charged with positive pressure, for example, using the energy unit. The positive pressure is maintained until the fluid medium is removed. Furthermore, a transport and transfer receptacle which can be produced according to the production method and which has at least one packaging is proposed.
