The packing billet (8) is moved to the manual filling station (5) with the help of a conveyor device with which the side edge of the billet is grabbed seen in the direction of the packing billet (8) in such a way that the mentioned edge is separated from the manual filling station (5) with the help of a dividing wall (2) located in the direction of the packing billet (8) while the main part of the packing billet (8) is moving at the same time to the manual filling station (5).

Abstract: The present invention includes methods for handling live cell compositions in non-nutritive buffer. The cells in the compositions maintain their identity and functional characteristics after being stored in non-nutrititive media up to about 72 hours. The storage method enables the cells to be manufactured at a processing facility and shipped to a point of care site. The invention also includes compositions that have been stored in non-nutritive buffer at storage temperatures while maintaining the functional characteristics.

Abstract: A packaging system and associated method for use with a pharmaceutical dispenser provides a turnkey solution for packaging pharmaceutical products such as solid medications and nutritional supplements to be taken orally in health care settings, including but not limited to long term care (LTC) and assisted living settings. An overall pharmacy system and methodology begins with bulk medications and supplements introduced into the work flow, individually packaged and assembled into medpass orders per patient and delivered to the LTC facility or other institution for patient consumption. The process begins by converting bulk medications and supplements to packaged unit doses and ultimately individually packaged medpass bags for each patient on a 24-hour schedule. The design of the overall system and its individual components allows for physical control of each unit dose package from start to finish without any unit dose package “free fall” in the system.

Abstract: A jewelry hanger card includes a body, a neck, a jewelry holder and a pair of supports. The body, the jewelry holder and the pair of supports are individually and foldably connected to the neck at respective fold lines. During assembly, each fold line is folded approximately 90 degrees with respect to the neck and a J-clip is adhered to a back surface of the body so that the jewelry hanger card may form a jewelry hanger for a display case. A pair of earring are then attached to the earring holder and the earring hanger is then placed on a jewelry rack for display.

The actuating assembly will include a series of actuating elements that are selectively moved into engagement with the article protection features of the cartons. The article protection features are urged into the cartons, between the articles therein and into positions engaging and supporting the articles.

Abstract: A packaging apparatus and method for depositing pills into a series of containers is provided. A cylindrical rotary slat is rotatable about a first axis and comprises radially inward and outward portions, the radially outward portion defining pill apertures for receiving pills therein at a first angular position. A negative pressure system is configured to apply a negative pressure to the pill apertures to retain the pills therein. An ejection device is in communication with the pill apertures at a second angular position of the rotary slat to eject the respective pills outwardly from the pill apertures. A collection mechanism is disposed adjacent to the radially outward portion about the second angular position, and is configured to collect the pills ejected from the pill apertures and to direct the pills toward the series of containers for deposition therein.

The invention is particularly intended for a transfer device between an intermittently operated filler unit and a continuously operated cartoning machine. The transfer device is provided with a frame (13) arranged to support tube pickers-/placers (28) and is arranged to perform a simultaneous pivoting movement about a first and a second shaft (16, 31), and for rotation about a third shaft (48) at right angles to the second shaft (31). The frame is further provided with means for adjusting the spacing between the tubes and means for compensating for differences in vertical position during the rotating movement in the case where the containers picked from the part circular conveyor of the filling unit.

For example, a tablet packaging system may be provided that includes a vibrating tray configured to feed a plurality of tablets to respective packages. The tablet packaging system may also include a first gas nozzle configured to direct a first flow of gas across the vibrating tray with the first flow of gas having a spaced relationship from the vibrating tray. The tablet packaging system may also include a second gas nozzle configured to direct a second flow of gas toward the vibrating tray. Further, the tablet packaging system may include a receiving hood configured to collect at least a portion of the gas provided by the first and second gas nozzles and to collect dust from the plurality of tablets.

The durable container has an open top adapted for receiving refuse. Opposing sides of a top edge of the container include a pair of handles. The selectably attachable secondary side handle and the selectably attachable wheel assembly are positioned along an outer lower perimeter edge of the container. The shoulder recess is an indentation along the lower perimeter edge opposite the secondary handle and includes an attachable padded cushion to line the recess. A user places the shoulder rest in contact with the shoulder and grips the secondary handle to carry the container upon the shoulder region.

Abstract: Fibrous insulation products have a binder composition that may include a carbohydrate and a crosslinking agent, and potentially other optional ingredients. The shelf life and physical properties of fibrous insulation products, particularly those having bio-based binders, can be improved by packaging that completely envelopes and seals the fibrous product from exposure to atmospheric conditions. Exemplary envelopes disclosed include sealed bags, double stretch wrap and stretch hoods. Properties that can be improved include recovery of loft, restoring force and tensile strength among others.

A compression member compresses the compressible members to move liquid and air into the mixing chamber to become a foam. The liquid container and the liquid delivery compressible member may both be disposed in a removable and replaceable refill unit assembly.

Abstract: An International Organization for Standardization (ISO) shipping container 10 includes a cryogenic refrigeration system 14 for cryogenically cooling superconducting magnet(s) 12A, 12B during transit. The cryogenic refrigeration system 14 monitors the temperature and/or pressure of the superconducting magnet(s) and circulates a refrigerant to the superconducting magnet(s) to maintain cryogenic temperatures in superconducting coils. A power supply 16, provided by a transportation vehicle, connects to the cryogenic refrigeration system via a power inlet 20 which is accessible from the exterior of the shipping container. The superconducting magnet(s) are suspended within the shipping container which is then loaded onto the transportation vehicle. The external power supply is connected to the cryogenic refrigeration system such that refrigerant is circulated to a cold head 22A, 22B of each superconducting magnet.

A grommet may be arranged in the suspension aperture to facilitate such suspension. A method for forming the packaging arrangement is also disclosed.
