Abstract: Disclosed are metal complexes of trisazo dyes of the general formula 4
wherein R1 through R6 are as defined in the specification. The dyes are useful for dyeing and printing natural and synthetic fiber materials, recording fluids, especially for the inkjet process, liquid formulations for paper pulp dyeing, and also as colorants for electrophotographic toners, powder coatings and color filters including the dyes of the invention.
Abstract: A metal chelated azo dyestuff containing at least one hydrophilic group and having formula (1):
wherein M is a metal; A, B and C are each independently a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic ring; D is an aromatic ring optionally substituted by a group other than an azo group; m is 0 or 1; n is an integer from 0 to 3; p is an integer from 0 to 2; q is an integer from 1 to 3; with the proviso that in the event of a plurality of B's, they are the same or different; R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen or a substituent group; M is tridentate or of higher coordination; and optionally a metal ion coordinated to A and B, B and B in the event of plural B's separated by azo or B and C, in the form of the structure: —O—M—O—.
Abstract: Phthalocyanines of the formula
where
Me is twice hydrogen, twice lithium, magnesium, zinc, copper, nickel, VO, TiO, AlCl, AlOH, AlOCOCH3, AlOCOCF3, SiCl2 or Si(OH)2,
at least four of the radicals R1 to R16 are each independently of the others a five- or six-membered saturated nitrogen-containing heterocyclic radical which is bonded to the phthalocyanine structure via a ring nitrogen atom and which can additionally contain further hetero atoms, and
any remaining radicals R1 to R16 are each hydrogen, halogen, hydroxysulfonyl or C1-C4-dialkylsulfamoyl,
subject to the proviso that tetrakispiperidinylphthalocyanine shall be excluded,
and heterocyclyl-substituted phthalocyanines are useful for marking liquids, in particular mineral oils.
