Abstract: A method for improving fuel efficiency of a vehicle and an exclusive energy saving and emission reduction device thereof are provided. The key points of the technical solutions are as follows. An exhaust separation device is installed in a crankcase of an engine. An oil-gas separation technology is adopted to manufacture an oil-gas separator and a diffusion vortex chamber. According to an aerodynamic principle, the separation degree of the exhaust is improved through compression and high speed vortex in the energy saving device, in such a manner that engine oil vapor in the exhaust is separated from combustible mixed gases, and then sent to the engine via an air intake throttle. The present invention enables complete combustion of the fuel, so as to achieve effects of oil-saving and emission-reducing.

  • Patent number: 6325834
Abstract: A filter assembly useful in collecting the particulate matter from a diesel engine onto surfaces on which the combustion vapors are condensed, and thereafter exposing the exhaust stream to catalytic reaction, is defined by a split cavity in which a row of kinematic filter discs is received. The filter discs are stacked in the assembly in a progressively finer opening size, each filter disc making an intimate contact with the assembly housing for cooling. In this manner condensation onto the discs is promoted to provide a liquid bed on which the particulate matter is trapped. The exhaust flow then passes through a coiled, corrugated catalyst surface for further reaction. A set of spring loaded bypass conduits is provided to allow diesel operation at such times when the filter plates and the catalytic coiled surface are clogged. The filter plates and the coiled catalyst strip can then be periodically removed and cleaned, for continued operation.

Abstract: The present invention has an object to improve the efficiency of collection of solidification constituents and solids in exhaust gas and to prevent early blockage of the filter without damaging the vacuum pump. In an exhaust path 48a, a vacuum pump and exhaust gas filtration device are provided. This exhaust gas filtration device is constituted by a trap device, pre-filter and filter. The pre-filter reduces the exhaust gas flow rate flowing through the interior of the exhaust path by controlling the exhaust gas flow path in the vessel. The aforesaid exhaust path is constituted by connecting this vacuum pump, trap device, pre-filter and filter which are arranged in this order from the side of airtight vessel and connected through piping if required.

  • Patent number: 5961931
Abstract: A particulate trap for use with a diesel engine is high in particulate trapping capacity and regenerating capacity and low in pressure drop, and yet is compact and inexpensive. This trap has a filter element made up of a plurality of tapered filter members formed from a fabric of heat-resistant metal fibers. The filter members have different diameters from each other and are nested concentrically one inside the other so that the adjacent filter members are positioned inversely. Each filter member is connected at its large-diameter end to the small-diameter end of the immediately outer filter member to alternately close the exhaust inlet and outlet ends of the gaps between the adjacent filter members. The filter element thus formed is mounted in a metal case provided in an exhaust line and used as a particulate trap. With this arrangement, it is possible to increase the particulate trapping area of the filter and the exhaust inlet openings without increasing the size of the entire trap.
