Within Or Downstream Of Gas Outlet Conduit Patents (Class 55/414)
  • Patent number: 10539052
Abstract: A filter cartridge includes a filter element (forming a fluid channel with a first longitudinal axis) with a front side to which a front end cap is sealingly attached, a conduit (with rear and front ends) attached to the front end cap, and a through hole (in the front end cap) that provides a fluid communication between the channel and the conduit, to enable oil flow from the channel via the rear end of the conduit through the conduit to its front end. Pressure drop for a given oil flow rate is reduced if the conduit has a straight end section (defining a second longitudinal axis) in the vicinity of its front end. The second longitudinal axis intersects the first longitudinal axis at a single point to define a non-zero angle ? between the axes.

  • Patent number: 7763090
Abstract: A cyclonic separating apparatus includes a chamber for separating dirt and dust from an airflow, an inlet to the chamber and a shroud. The shroud includes a wall having inner and outer surfaces and a multiplicity of through-holes forming an outlet from the chamber. Each through-hole has an axis. The inner surface of the wall has a serrated profile having a plurality of serrations arranged around at least a part of the circumference of the wall, each serration having a first face and a second face. At least one through-hole passes through the first face of at least one serration. By providing a plurality of serrations around the inner circumference of the wall, the airflow is forced to follow a longer path through each through-hole for when compared to conventional arrangements. This reduces the amount of dirt and dust which is able to pass through the shroud.

  • Patent number: 7682415
Abstract: A device for intermediate storage of condensation water includes a swirl body which causes an inflowing air-water mixture to rotate, and a venturi tube through which the air-water mixture leaves the device. A ring groove in which water accumulates because of the swirl is arranged downstream of the swirl body, and water accumulated in the ring groove is sucked into the venturi tube via one more suction pipes. An expansion zone has an expanded cross-section and a step shaped interior for generating increased surface adhesion. Separating metal sheets in the expansion zone brake the swirl, bind the accumulated gushing water by adhesion forces, and guide it by capillary forces to the interior surface of the expansion zone. Gushing water accumulated at the ends of the separating metal sheets is drained by one or more suction pipes, into the venturi tube.

Abstract: A device is provided that is capable of circulating air throughout a personal space as well as collecting and preventing the build up of dust and other particulate matter by drawing in air from the surrounding environment and removing some dust, allergens and other such particulate matter therefrom. The filtered air is then expelled out of the device and back into the surrounding environment. The device includes a housing defining an interior space having a motor and fan assembly disposed therein. The housing includes an inlet with a filter provided therein such that air drawn in through the inlet is filtered. The air is then expelled through a circumferentially disposed outlet. The filter element preferably includes a lock and key system configured to prevent operation of the device in the absence of a properly keyed filter.

Abstract: A cyclonic separating apparatus includes a chamber for separating dirt and dust from an airflow, an inlet to the chamber and a shroud. The shroud includes a wall having a multiplicity of through-holes forming an outlet from the chamber, each of the through-holes having substantially rectangular cross-sections with width to height ratios in the range of 1.5:1 to 1:1.5. The rectangular cross section of the through-holes maximizes the available through-hole area in the shroud, produces a low pressure drop across the shroud and reduces the amount of material required for manufacture. Further, this ratio allows the cross-sectional area of the through-holes to be dimensioned to prevent larger particles of dirt and dust from passing through the through-holes in the shroud, while still providing the required structural integrity.
