  • Patent number: 11819183
Abstract: Applicant has created vacuum apparatuses with improved stability and methods for improving the stability of a wet/dry vacuum. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a motor, a removable drum adapted to store debris collected by the apparatus, and a base that can be adapted to receive the removable drum. The motor can be adapted to be interposed between the removable drum and the base. The methods can include the step of providing a base, the step of providing a removable drum adapted to be coupled to the base, and the step of coupling a vacuum motor to the base such that the vacuum motor is adapted to be disposed beneath the removable drum when the drum is coupled to the base. By relocating the motor of vacuum apparatus beneath the drum, the vacuum's center of gravity can be lowered significantly and, thus, its propensity to tip over is minimized.

Abstract: A collapsible filtration tank for a dust collector includes an outer frame, an engaging base and a filter. The outer frame is formed cylindrical, having plural meshes formed in its circumferential wall. The engaging base is formed annular, installed around the opening of the outer frame. The filter is inserted in a chamber of the outer frame and restrictively blocked by the blocking edge of the engaging base. Thus, the filter can be independently replaced with a new one instead of shifting the whole filtration tank.

Abstract: A powered air cleaning system has a flow path extending through the system from an inlet to an outlet. A motor-driven fan is located along the flow path to draw particulate debris laden air into the inlet and rotate it about an axis to form a rotating flow that stratifies the debris laden air with the heaviest particles in the outermost orbits of the rotating flow. An ejector port ejects particulate debris laden air from the stratified rotating flow in the system. At least one de-swirl component located within the rotating flow aerodynamically redirects clean air from the innermost orbits of the stratified rotating flow toward the outlet to provide a positive airflow pressure out of the outlet. The system has a variable speed fan motor and an integrated controller for adjusting the speed of the motor and thereby the flow rate of clean air through the outlet of the system. The controller receives a signal that is a function of airflow requirements of a device supplied with clean air by the system.

Abstract: An air purifier includes a housing, a centrifugal fan and an air purifying filter. The fan is substantially centered in the housing. The fan has a rotary shaft extending in a depth direction of the air purifier and a fan inlet port facing frontward. Air suctioned by the fan is blown out in a direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft. The filter is aligned with the fan along the direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft. An air inlet port is disposed in front of the fan so as to communicate with the fan inlet port. When the fan rotates, air is suctioned into the air purifier via the air inlet port. An air outlet port is arranged relative to the filter such that air purified by the filter is blown out of the air purifier through the air outlet port.

Abstract: A dust collector includes a shell, an exit tube, an inner tube, a suction device, a first dust container, a bypass tube and a first dust bag. The shell defines a first receiving room therein. The exit tube defines an exit passage therein. The inner tube defines a connection passage which has a first opening and a second opening. The first opening communicates the first receiving room, and the second opening communicates the exit passage. The suction device provides the exit passage with a negative pressure. The first dust container defines a second receiving room therein. A mesh is disposed on a bottom surface of the first dust container to divide the second receiving room into a first chamber and a second chamber. The bypass tube defines a bypass passage therein, and it communicates the connection passage with the second chamber. The first dust bag is disposed in the first chamber.

Abstract: An air purifier includes a vertically disposed housing provided with a wire gauze filter, electric fans and air filter elements. The electric fans draw outside air around the floor vertically into the bottom air intake port toward the top air output port of the housing so that the flow of air, when passed out of the air output port, flows upwards to a certain elevation and is then diffused and lowered in all directions around the housing. By means of the traction of the flow of air, the pressure difference of the convection of air between the low air pressure and the high air pressure at the bottom and top sides of the housing, high concentration of car waste gas, micro dust particles, hair dust, micro fibers and other harmful industrial odors that fall to the floor due to the effect of gravity or floating nearly above the floor are sucked into the inside of the housing by the low air pressure zone at the open bottom side of the housing and then removed by the filter elements.

Abstract: A cleaning appliance includes a main body, a filter and an interlock. The main body includes an airflow generator, a separating apparatus separating dirt and dust from an airflow, and a flowpath between the separating apparatus and the airflow generator delimited by a wall. The interlock has a first part located on the filter and a second part located on the main body outside the flowpath, arranged to communicate remotely when the filter is correctly located in the pre-determined position. The interlock is arranged selectively to allow or prevent operation of the airflow generator depending upon the relative separation between the first and second parts. By providing an interlock which has first and second parts which communicate remotely, the second part located on the main body can be isolated from the airflow path so that the second part is not subject to dirt and dust carried by the airflow.
