Abstract: Low-color ester compositions and methods of making low-color ester compositions are generally disclosed. In certain embodiments, methods of making low-color ester compositions from a biorefinery bottoms stream are disclosed. In some other embodiments, methods for recovering esters of 1,18-octadecanedioic acid are disclosed.
Abstract: An improved process for preparing reduced-odor or odorless esters, preferably benzoate esters, octanoate esters, aliphatic emollient esters and glycol dibenzoate esters. The improved process comprises, in part, removing the esterification catalyst from the crude ester after the esterification reaction is substantially complete, before neutralization of acidity. The resultant ester compositions are odorless or have substantially reduced odor as compared to commercially available esters.
Abstract: A new process has been developed for preparing high purity neem seed extract by adsorbing aqueous solutions of neem seed extract containing azadirachtin onto a macroporous polymeric adsorbent followed by desorption using a solvent. The resulting extract, optionally formulated, is a useful insecticide for the control of foliar pests.

Abstract: This invention relates to a new process for refining and deodorizing the oil from the seeds of the neem tree by refining a neem oil solution with an alkaline solution of hydrogen peroxide to provide an edible grade of vegetable oil.
Abstract: Fluorinated carboxylic acids which do not have the required purity for use as emulsifier in the polymerization of fluorinated monomers can, if necessary after prior de-watering, be treated with oxidants, whereupon the isolation of the pure product is carried out by crystallisation or, preferably, by distillation.
Abstract: Production of stable ozonized oils from unsaturated vegetable oils by introducing an ozone-oxygen mixture into the oil until it reaches saturation, and following the ozonization, an extraction process in acid medium is carried out in the presence of a redox reaction system, which is capable of moderately reacting the radicals in the presence of a synthetic or natural anti-oxidation medium or reducing medium.
