Abstract: The invention relates to a composition containing organotin maleates such as is obtained by reacting a mixture of a low molecular weight alcohol or epoxyalkane and of a high molecular weight alcohol or epoxyalkane with maleic anhydride and by then bringing the mixture thus obtained into contact with a dialkyltin oxide. The invention also relates to poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) composition stabilized and lubricated using the said composition based on organotin maleates and also to the extruded rigid objects formed from the said PVC compositions.

Abstract: An organotin stabilizer mixture comprising: (a) monoalkyltin mercaptoalcohol (b) a monoalkyltin mercaptoacid ester; and (c) a monoalkyltin sulfide provides improved early color, lubricity, and weatherability to rigid vinyl polymer formulations. The formulation may also contain a monoalkyltin mercaptoalcohol ester as an optional component.

Abstract: Compositions for stabilizing halogen-containing organic polymers against the deteriorative effects of heat, light and weathering and which are non-irritating to eyes and mucous membranes, comprise the reaction product produced by combining an organotin oxide, an ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid ester and a mercaptan, wherein the chemical equivalence of the mercaptan is less than the chemical equivalence of the diorganotin oxide and the chemical equivalence of the diorganotin oxide is less than the chemical equivalence of the ester compound.
