Supplemental Vertical Cutter Patents (Class 56/315)
  • Patent number: 9538704
Abstract: A lawnmower with a plurality of blade holding elements in a horizontally rotating blade assembly holds a plurality of replaceable blades in a blade channel. The blade assembly is covered by a blade assembly guard that is only open underneath at a point where blades in the blade assembly would cut grass during normal operation. A blade assembly access panel in the upper portion of the blade assembly guard allows blades to be easily replaced.

  • Patent number: 5832706
Abstract: A hedger includes a raisable platform, a telescoping main boom member pivotably attached at one end to the platform, and at least a first boom member pivotably attached to and extending in a first direction from an opposite end of the main boom member. The first boom member rotatably supports at least one cutting blade. A second boom member is pivotably attached to an end portion of the first boom member and extends in a second direction from the opposite end of the main boom member. The second boom member also rotatably supports at least one cutting blade. The first and second boom members of the hedger are pivotable relative to each other and relative to the main boom member. As a result, the structure of the invention enables multiple cutting blade configurations or profiles. Moreover, the platform includes structure enabling the main boom member to achieve a substantially horizontal attitude.

  • Patent number: 4694640
Abstract: A mowing machine for cutting crop comprises a chassis, cutting members supported by the chassis, and an intermediate structure on the chassis which at least partially supports the cutting members. The cutting members extend on both side of the intermediate structure. The mowing machine also comprises members, such as rotary drums or separating surfaces, which prevent attachment of the crop to the intermediate structure. In a preferred embodiment, the mowing machine further includes conditioning members so that the cutting members and conditioning members comprise a cutting-conditioning group.
