Ejector Type Patents (Class 57/272)
  • Patent number: 6272833
Abstract: On a textile machine, arL empty spool (12) is conveyed along a multiplicity of spool stations (1) situated next to one another. In a predetermined position relative to a grasping apparatus (3) the said empty spool (12) is stopped and is picked up by said grasping apparatus (3), and held by its circumferential surface. After its being lifted by the grasping apparatus (3), the spool (12) is retained in an axial alignment. This retention is discontinued, before the spool (12) is released at the spool station (1) where it is required. For the execution of this procedure, a retaining arrangement (8), composed of stopping devices (4 and 5), is provided for the spool (12) which is held by the grasping apparatus (3). The retaining arrangement (8) idles in a location outside of the transport path which the empty spool (12) will occupy when held.

  • Patent number: 5937629
Abstract: A method and device are provided for supplying empty tubes to winding devices of a textile machine comprising a plurality of operating units arranged next to each other in at least one line and equipped each with a winding device as a part of the operating unit, with a tube container provided at one end of the machine and coupled with a tube conveyer arranged along the line of the operating unites of the textile machine along which is also provided an attending unit adapted to travel along the line of the operating units and containing a handling device for moving a tube from the tube conveyer to a winding device. Prior to the attempt at rewinding, the handling device of the attending device lays into the winding device an empty winding tube. In case of an unsuccessful attempt at rewinding (at restoring the winding), the winding tube 22 is taken out of the winding device 1 by the attending device 4.

  • Patent number: 5511372
Abstract: A transport vehicle transports a plurality of sliver cans between a can delivery station, work stations of a sliver processing textile machine, and a discharge station for empty cans along a given travel direction. The vehicle includes an undercarriage with a plurality of can parking places for the sliver cans. A plurality of can exchange mechanisms are provided, one for each can parking place. Each exchange mechanism includes a carriage supporting a respective one of the sliver cans. The carriage is slidable on the under-carriage transversly to the travel direction of the transport vehicle. A motor slidingly drives each of the carriages on the undercarriage. A can manipulating device, which is operatively associated with each of the carriages, displaces the sliver cans, setting them down and receiving them on a respective one of the carriages.

  • Patent number: 4936521
Abstract: In a winding machine where material is wound onto a non-rotating spool by a flyer that revolves around the spool, a device for moving, clamping, and releasing the spool moves the spool into position for winding, traverses the spool axially as the flyer rotates around the spool to properly distribute the material on the spool, and moves the spool away from the winding position. The device also clamps the spool as it moves the spool into position for winding and unclamps the spool as it moves the spool away from the winding position.

  • Patent number: 4624360
Abstract: A method and apparatus for slipping tubes on pegs carried on a transport belt which extends along a spinning machine or twisting machine. A slipping-on apparatus for said tubes is located above the transport belt and inserts the tubes on the pegs. A sensing device monitors the seating of the tubes on the pegs and a lifting off device removes the tubes that are improperly seated on the pegs. After an improperly seated tube is removed from the peg, another tube is inserted thereon.

  • Patent number: 4480740
Abstract: The present invention concerns an apparatus for sorting conical bobbin tubes, using trough-shaped transporting pockets, into which the bobbin tubes are placed individually, and in which they are shifted at a bias to their longitudinal direction. According to the invention the bobbin tubes pass under two rolls, which with respect to the direction of this movement are arranged inclined at an angle in the same sense, and which are mounted on a frame which is pivotable about an axis. One, and only this one of the rolls, namely the one, under which the bobbin tube zone of greater diameter passes, contacts the bobbin tube, and owing to its inclined arrangement effects a shifting movement of the bobbin tube in its longitudinal direction. In this manner the bobbin tubes are shifted into different positions depending on the position of their bobbin tube foot ends relative to their tip ends, and in this manner are sorted.
