Doffing Or Donning Patents (Class 57/266)
  • Patent number: 10954610
Abstract: A doffer device for a spinning machine includes a plurality of gripping devices, each gripping device having a rotatable gripping unit. Each gripping unit includes a bobbin gripper that grips a full bobbin and a tube gripper that grips an empty tube. Each gripping unit is rotatable between a gripping position in which the full bobbin can be gripped on the spindle and a placement position in which the empty tube can be placed on the spindle. A rotating device is configured with the gripping units to rotate the gripping units about an axis of rotation such that neighboring ones of the gripping units are rotated with a time lag relative to one another. The rotating device is driven by a toothed belt.

  • Patent number: 10105833
Abstract: A skimmer basket handle with a horizontal crossbar, a post that extends upwardly from the crossbar to a grip, and a leg that extends downwardly from the crossbar to a foot. The crossbar extends the diameter of the basket. Horizontal knobs at each end of the crossbar fit into openings in the sides of the basket. The post maintains the grip above the water line. The leg and foot are sized and shaped so that the bottom of the foot rests on the floor of the basket when installed to maintain the handle in the upright position. To make the length adjustable for different depth baskets, the leg is relatively short and the foot has a tubular upward extension with an internal stop located at the desired position during manufacture to suit the distance to the floor of the basket.

  • Patent number: 6349530
Abstract: In the case of ring spinning with condensing devices there is a risk that the yarns of the individual cops have a varying degree of hairiness. This can result in faults in the end product, for example a woven fabric. In order to avoid such faults, the ring spinning machine is connected to a monitoring station, in which the yarns are automatically monitored for hairiness; the cops, based on the monitoring results, are then automatically sorted.

  • Patent number: 6272833
Abstract: On a textile machine, arL empty spool (12) is conveyed along a multiplicity of spool stations (1) situated next to one another. In a predetermined position relative to a grasping apparatus (3) the said empty spool (12) is stopped and is picked up by said grasping apparatus (3), and held by its circumferential surface. After its being lifted by the grasping apparatus (3), the spool (12) is retained in an axial alignment. This retention is discontinued, before the spool (12) is released at the spool station (1) where it is required. For the execution of this procedure, a retaining arrangement (8), composed of stopping devices (4 and 5), is provided for the spool (12) which is held by the grasping apparatus (3). The retaining arrangement (8) idles in a location outside of the transport path which the empty spool (12) will occupy when held.

  • Patent number: 4896495
Abstract: A twisting machine for use in simultaneously imparting a twist to two or more wires while coiling the twisted wires on a drum, or for imparting twist to one or more wires as they are fed from off the drum, is provided with a reel support frame, preferably having retractable pintles, by which a reel is secured in the machine. The frame has a first reeling location within the machine positioned within a circumscribing orbital wire path provided by a wire guide that rotates about the frame and reel so as to twist the wires as they are reeled. The frame is displaceable from a first in-board position within the orbit of the wire guide to a second, reel transfer position, while at standstill, in which the reel is deposited outboard beside the machine while still supported by the frame pintles or a shaft. An interlock system controls the locking, unlocking and displacement of the frame, to ensure absolute safety.

  • Patent number: 4821504
Abstract: A system for controlling the displacement motion of a carriage working machine which is capable of displacing along a track arranged along ends of spinning machines installed in parallel as a group, wherein an automatic apparatus for carrying out a certain part of the process by these spinning machines is rigidly or detachably mounted on a carriage. In this system, when a spinning machine outputs a forecast signal to call the working machine, the forecast signal is registered in a registration table. After the working machine has arrived at a position on the track adjacent to the particular spinning machine, and it is confirmed that the particular spinning machine can accept the operation of the automatic apparatus of the working machine, then the automatic apparatus starts to carry out its operation.

  • Patent number: 4813222
Abstract: A bobbin transfer system of a spinning frame (1), in which a series of trays (13) are carried on a pair of carrier rails (14, 15) driven to repeat a back-and-forth reciprocation. Hooking members (23) are arranged along the carrier rails (14, 15), which allow the trays (13) to pass thereover during the forward displacement of the carrier rail (14, 15) but inhibit the backward displacement of the trays (13) by the action of hooks (23a) formed on the hooking member (23) at a distance from each other corresponding to N times the spindle pitch wherein N satisfies the equation .DELTA.A.gtoreq..DELTA.D.times.N (wherein .DELTA.D stands for a manufacturing tolerance of a diameter of the tray 13 and .DELTA.A stands for an allowance for a grip distance of a bobbin catcher in an auto-doffer) and p stands for a spindle pitch. Accordingly, the trays (13) are transferred intermittently as the carrier rails (14, 15) reciprocate at a stroke larger than the spindle pitch.
