Threading Up Patents (Class 57/279)
  • Patent number: 4354343
Abstract: The invention provides an injector having a suitably formed head which can partially penetrate through a lateral aperture in a spindle into the vicinity of a chamber containing an expansible capsule.Penetrating into the chamber, the injector laterally displaces the capsule and by injecting through a beak a fluid under pressure creates in the axial passage a negative-positive pressure necessary for transporting the filament. In the vicinity of the chamber there can advantageously be provided a mobile section which is circumferentially displaceable by a projection which is included on the head of the injector, when the injector penetrates or is penetrating the spindle. The injector is further provided with an arm which may be pivoted in the vicinity of the balloon container or on an auxiliary bench.

  • Patent number: 4353202
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with threading-in textile materials, such as a yarn, a roving or similar textile or filamentary material, into an enclosed duct or the like. The threading-in of the textile material is accomplished by manually operating a manual apparatus which functions as a pump. In this way there can be avoided the use of expensive and complicated devices presently provided for threading-in textile materials as is known. The invention is astonishingly simple, the manual apparatus is easy and convenient to use, readily transportable and its cost is exceedingly modest.

  • Patent number: 4328663
Abstract: There is described a two-for-one spinning or twisting spindle in which thread drawn from a take-up package is threaded through from the bottom upwards by means of a compressed-air-operated threading arrangement so that it can be connected to thread, coming from a supply package, at the top end of a thread entry tube. In the arrangement shown, a thread storage disc of a two-for-one twisting spindle has therein a thread exit passage 8 the inner end of which opens into a short tube 10 which opens in turn into a hollow shaft 12 of the spindle, leaving an annular gap 11. In operation of the threading arrangement, compressed air is fed into a hollow shank 5 of the spindle from below and flows upwards through the annular gap 11. Because of this the short tube 10 acts as an injector nozzle which sucks the thread into the thread exit passage 8 from the side and transports it upwards through the hollow shaft 12 of the spindle.

  • Patent number: 4297834
Abstract: The yarn brake of this invention is useful in a textile yarn processing machine, such as a two-for-one twister, and includes a stationary permanent magnet arranged at one end of a brake housing and spaced from a fixed braking surface in the direction of movement of the yarn. A braking body is movably positioned within the housing between the braking surface and the permanent magnet, with the braking body including a permanent magnet having a magnetic polarization oriented in repelling relation to the stationary permanent magnet for thus biasing the braking body toward and into engagement with the braking surface to apply tension to a yarn passing therebetween. The magnetic repelling forces allow the braking body to be reliably moved out of engagement with the braking surface when necessary, as for example by a pneumatic flow applied to thread a yarn through the brake, or to accommodate knots or other variations in thickness in the yarn.
