Including Mounting, Support, Or Housing Patents (Class 57/346)
  • Patent number: 10093060
Abstract: A guide wheel (26) for fitting a layer of carbon armor wires around a tubular core (24). The guide wheel (26) has a central cavity (32), an internal circular edge (34), and a peripheral circular edge (38) that extends coaxially at a distance from said internal circular edge (34), the guide wheel (26) includes a plurality of guiding devices (46), each of which is capable of guiding in translation a plurality of carbon armor wires, the guiding devices being mounted around said central cavity (32). The guiding device (46) includes a peripheral redirecting member (50) in order to be able to guide the carbon armor wires to the internal circular edge (34), and a central redirecting member (52) in order to be able to guide said carbon armor wires through a second curved passageway.

  • Patent number: 5161359
Abstract: A cable stranding apparatus is described as having a plurality of stranding rotor units that are interchangeably coupled, in a locked manner, to a single rotor drive assembly of such apparatus. Each stranding rotor unit is designed to accommodate the dimensions of particular cable elements to be stranded. For this purpose, the stranding rotor unit for cable elements of a large cross-section has a plurality of large collets for accommodating the drawing of such large cable elements through the unit; while the cable stranding rotor unit for cable elements of a small cross-section has a plurality of smaller collets for drawing the smaller cable elements through such unit.

  • Patent number: 5012563
Abstract: An arrangement for the stretching and warping of synthetic warp threads under the influence of heat. The arrangement has feed rollers for driving warp threads, take off rollers for driving warp threads received from the feed rollers, with the take off rollers having a higher circumferential speed than the feed rollers. Additionally there are at least two rotatable deflection rollers, of which at least one roller is heatable with the rollers being rotatable in directions opposite to each other, and at least two auxiliary rollers which are rotatable in directions opposite to each other. A feed segment of the thread extends from the feed roller arrangement to the deflection roller proximate thereto and a take off segment of the threads extends from the deflection roller proximate thereto, to the take off roller arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4433538
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a textile spinning machine particularly a ring spinning machine, and is directed to the provision of a tension reliever between the delivery rollers and the yarn balloon, which has the effect of producing a tension differential between the yarn forming the balloon, and the yarn travelling from the delivery rollers to the tension reliever. In order to facilitate piecing-up of the yarn after a breakage, the tension reliever has a drive wharf and a capstan device which includes a yarn engaging capstan element, the capstan device permitting threading in a radial direction, and having a snap-in connection with the wharf, so that the capstan device can be completely detached from the drive wharf for a piecing-up operation.

  • Patent number: 4372107
Abstract: An apparatus for inserting a false twist in roving or yarn as the strand or strands of fibers are fed from between a pair of front rolls to a takeup device. The apparatus includes a rotor rotatably carried in an enclosing casing. A plurality of circumferentially spaced air entrapping members is provided in the perimeter of the rotor so that upon applying pressurized air to the members, the rotor is driven. A yarn conveying tube extends axially through the rotor and is fixed thereto for being rotated therewith. A portion of the yarn conveying tube is radially disposed from the rotational axis of the rotor so that as the yarn flows through the rotating tube, a false twist is inserted in the yarn from the tube up to the nip of the front rolls.

  • Patent number: 4144700
Abstract: A false twisting apparatus comprising two endless belts crossing each other and running in opposite directions at the crossing point is disclosed, in which a yarn running through the crossing point is nipped by both the belts at the crossing point and is false-twisted by a frictional effect caused between the two belts. In this false twisting apparatus, the angle of crossing of the two endless belt is set in advance, and the apparatus may include means for detecting minute variations of this predetermined crossing angle and correcting such minute variations.

  • Patent number: 4144701
Abstract: An apparatus for setting and maintaining the nip pressure at a predetermined level in a false twister where two belts running in opposite directions are crossed in such a state that the surfaces of both the belts are contacted with each other and a yarn is nipped at this crossing point by the two belts to impart false twists to the yarn is disclosed. This nip pressure setting apparatus includes a device for compensating variations of the nip pressure where according to decrease of the nip pressure, at least one of pulleys supporting the belts is moved in a direction approaching to the opposite belt so as to increase the nip pressure and maintain it at a predetermined level.
