Abstract: The hair coloring appliance includes a flexible cap which is adapted and sized to fit against the head of the user, covering the user's hair. The cap includes a sealing band which seals the edge of the cap to the user's head. A vacuum pump assembly is connected to the cap as well as a color infusion assembly. A control system controls the vacuum assembly to create a vacuum in the cap volume and to permit infusion of color material when the desired vacuum has been created.

Abstract: The head cap for the use of head physical therapy in the present invention is related that the head cap is covered the head when using the vacuum device to generate a negative pressure for treating the head by massaging the user's head and improving a blood circulation. The head cap in the present invention includes a head housing with an opening and a hole, an auxiliary unit connected with the opening and having an air vent, a vacuum device connected with the air vent, and a cushion ring connected with the head housing, wherein the cushion ring and the head housing form a sealed space when a user inserts its head in the cushion ring and the vacuum device is configured to provide the negative pressure for the physical therapy.

Abstract: A portable closed wound drainage system that uses a pouch shaped dressing which is inserted into a wound. At least a portion of the outer surface of the pouch is porous to allow exudates to enter. Exudates are removed from the pouch by flexible tubing which is secured inside the pouch at one end and secured at the other end to a portable drain/suction unit. The pouch contains porous material. The tubing can have a single or multi-lumen structure. The pouch and the tube are sealed by a flexible sealing material which is applied to the outer surface of the skin. A cosmetic cover sheet is attached to the patient's skin over the closed wound drainage system.

Abstract: A method and device for modulating blood pressure. The method comprises selecting waveforms from a storage area that are representative of body organ function. The selected waveforms are then transmitted to a treatment member, which is in direct contact with the body, and which then broadcasts the waveforms to a blood pressure regulatory points within the body to modulate blood pressure. A control module is provided for transmission to the treatment member. The control module contains the waveforms which are selected and transmitted to the treatment member, and computer storage can be provided for greater storage capacity and manipulation of the waveforms.

Abstract: An apparatus for producing a hematoma for encouraging the increased production of hemoglobin. The apparatus for producing a hematoma includes a pressure bell having a wall defining an interior space and a lip extending around a lower periphery of the wall designed for providing a substantially airtight seal against a skin of a user, a housing removably coupled to and in fluid communication with an insertion port of the pressure bell, and a vacuum assembly positioned within the housing for removing air from the interior space of the pressure bell such that a lower pressure area is created within the pressure bell thereby drawing blood to a surface of the skin of the user.

Abstract: The invention is a vacuum massage apparatus comprising a housing and a rotor. The housing includes a flexible portion defining a chamber having an open side and a flow path communicating with the chamber. The flexible portion is arcuate in shape and has a plurality of nodules projecting perpendicularly from its inner surface into the chamber. The rotor is supported by the housing in a flow path from the port. The rotor is rotatable about a rotor axis and has a center of gravity eccentric to the rotor axis. In preferred form, the flow path is coupled to a vacuum source such as the hose of a vacuum cleaner to provide suction in the chamber and a pressure difference across the rotor. One object of the invention to provide a massage apparatus which stimulates circulation as well as vibrating the skin.

Abstract: A massaging electrode is pressed against discrete areas of a subject person's scalp or body and worked from side to side or in a preferred or random massage pattern to thereby move the skin and its underlying layers relative to the underlying area. The electrode is a gold plated phonojack which is encased in silver solder to optimize transmission of electrical current. Electrical current is passed through the electrode and into the subject person's scalp by connecting the electrode to an electrical conductor from an electrical current generating device which generates oscillating voltage to the pad in a low range and at a variation of voltages. The ground contact is hand held by the subject person so that electrical current is directed down through the skin layers during the massaging process.

Abstract: An apparatus for increasing the blood circulation in the scalp is provided, having a vacuum, a flexible tube, and a rigid, elastic suction funnel, the flexible tube being connected at one end thereof to the vacuum and at the other end thereof to the funnel, the funnel having a small opening at one thereof for connection to the tube and having a large opening at the other end thereof, the large opening having an edge adapted for application to the scalp. The funnel is transparent to allow for observation of the scalp therethrough, the funnel having a pair of rigid parallel rings situated thereon, one located near the small opening and one located near the large opening, and a longitudinal rod being attached between the pair of rigid rings, the longitudinal rod being provided with spaced markings so that changes in the level of the scalp may be observed during operation of the apparatus.
