Abstract: A medical device for dressing head wounds of a patient. The device has a dome-shaped flexible cap with a circumferential pocket around its base and an adjustable strap having two opposite ends, wherein the two opposite ends can be affixed to the flexible cap using an attachment mechanism. The adjustable strap is further adapted to cover the patient's chin, thereby securing the flexible cap over the patient's head. The adjustable strap can further have a chin pocket at a middle portion of the strap such that it overlays the patient's chin. The circumferential pocket and the chin pocket are configured to accommodate at least one wound dressing pad for covering the head wounds, wherein the head wounds are located at least partially in front, back, and/or below the patient's ears and at least partially on the patient's chin.

Abstract: A pediatric head covering to facilitate obtaining three-dimensional images of a head of an infant to be utilized in manufacture of a cranial remodeling orthosis for correction of an abnormal head shape comprises sheer elastic material to be drawn down over an infant's head to compress the hair of an infant and to provide a smooth surface over the infant's cranium. The elastic material has variable elasticity with less elasticity over the crown of the cranium to provide enough strength to compress the infant's hair and conform to the shape of the cranium and more elasticity at the infant's neck to control soft tissue of the infant's neck without leading to distortion of the soft tissue and causing misrepresentations of the actual neck shape in captured three-dimensional images. The head covering facilitates accurate capture and reproduction of three-dimensional images of the infant's head by a three-dimensional image capturing system.

Abstract: A system for facial remodeling, including a device and methods of use, is provided. The system combines a topical composition configured to restore elastin, hyaluronan, or both to the skin and subcutaneous soft tissues of the face and neck with a facial mask to support and, in some embodiment, compress the tissue, to enhance and preserve the tissue remodeling effects of the composition. Some versions of the facial mask device include a means for electrically grounding the skin and soft tissues of the face, neck, and head, wherein the user receives local tissue benefits of “earthing.” In some versions, the facial mask is formed by combining different elements and configurations to compress skin and underlying soft tissue, bias areas of skin and soft tissue in a cranial direction, and ground the face, head, and neck tissues.

Abstract: A system and method of temporarily lifting sections of skin on and about the face and neck proximate the ear so as to produce a facelift effect. An application template is provided that can be hung around the ear. At least two sections of tape are provided. One section of tape is connected to the top end of the application template. A second section of tape is connected to the bottom end of the application template. The application template orients both sections of tape. Once the sections of tape are adhered to the skin, the application template is removed. An elastic element is then joined between the sections of tape an creates a tension force that causes the tape to pull the skin toward the ear.

Abstract: An ergonomic makeup shield for use in applying eye makeup and methods of using the same are disclosed. The makeup shield has a generally planar body having a top surface and a bottom surface, the body further including at least four generally straight side, with adjacent sides being connected by generally curved corners and the sides being oriented relative to each other to provide angles between adjacent sides wherein at least two of the angles are acute angles and at least two of the angles are obtuse angles, and wherein the top surface has a perimeter that is smaller than the bottom surface and the top surface is connected to the bottom surface by a generally beveled edge extending around at least two of the generally curved corners and along the respective sides adjacent thereto. Abstract: A cosmetic method for temporary modification of an appearance of a contour of an eye is disclosed. The cosmetic method comprises placing an aesthetic prosthesis at least on a hollow portion of an upper eyelid. The hollow portion is situated close to a medial canthus. The placing includes visually and/or physically filling at least a portion of the hollow portion with at least a first portion of the aesthetic prosthesis. Abstract: The method and apparatus of face lifting are invented for reducing facial sagging of aged people. The method comprises: 1) move up sagged temple, cheek and forehead tissues from sagged location to a higher location, 2) hold the tissues in the lifted location, 3) put a pressure on the lifted tissues. The apparatus comprises a cheek lifting band, a forehead lifting headwear and a facial pressure mask. Abstract: This invention relates to a novel method of reducing the appearance of rhytides (“facial wrinkles”) and/or infra-orbital shadows (“dark circles”) under the eyes, and striae (“stretch marks”), or lentigo senilis (“age spots”), and hyper/hypo pigmentation on other anatomical areas. Particularly, this invention relates to a topical patch worn on the skin that in a preferred embodiment incorporates two distinct layers, each providing useful features and together providing a novel article and method of improving skin cosmesis. Ease of use, patient comfort and cost effectiveness are provided. The patch is applied to the affected area and preferably worn at least several hours and more preferably worn overnight. The product increases the hydration level of the skin over which it is applied. There is a slight increase to the volume of the local superficial tissue, which serves to tighten the overlying skin and reduce the size and quantity of fine wrinkles at least temporarily.

Abstract: An eyelid lifting system, for restoring a youthful appearance to an eye by lifting sagging eyelid skin at an eyelid crease, using an eyelid lifting device. The eyelid lifting device is a flat, thin piece of nonporous, conformable, waterproof plastic which is generally crescent shaped. The eyelid lifting device has a rear surface which has a medical grade adhesive thereon. Prior to application of the eyelid lifting device, a lubricating substance is spread across the rear surface. The eyelid lifting device is then applied to the eyelid crease to lift the sagging skin thereat. After a short time, the eyelid lifting device will set in place, will be virtually invisible, and will maintain the sagging skin in an upward position to provide a more youthful appearance to the eye.
