Abstract: A jewelry item has a closure that uses shape memory to provide two stable positions. For example, an earring has a setting and a pin, and the closure closes the pin over the ear. The closure consists of a leaf spring extending outwardly in a first loop part from a first location on the setting and looping back in a second loop part to a second location adjacent the first location on the setting. The loop parts each have shape memory and are set with different remembered shapes. The two different remembered shapes work against each other to flip the closure between two stable positions, a first position in which the closure connects to the pin to close the earring and a second position in which the closure is spaced away from the pin to open the earring. The design is particularly suitable for a huggie style earring.
Abstract: Provided is an earring that can present decorative appeal by using 2 fasteners worn on an earlobe and another region of the external ear, respectively. The earring includes a chain (100), a first decorative piece (200a) connected to one end of the chain (100), a second decorative piece (200b) connected to the other end of the chain (100), a first fastener (300) connected to the first decorative piece (200a), and a second fastener (400) connected to the second decorative piece (200b), where the first fastener is provided with a pin member (311) that is insertable in a pierced hole of an earlobe (E), and the second fastener is provided with a pressing member (420) that is pressable onto an outer ear region (H). The earring is wearable even without a pierced hole in the non-lobe outer ear region.
Abstract: This invention is about wearing earring that stimulates the acupoints of the ear and provides easy wearing with beautiful feature. In detail, it is consisted of a pair of parts formed to press a specific part of the ear; a connecting part that links above-mentioned parts together; a decoration for the surfaces of a pair of above-mentioned parts or connecting part; a stimulating protrusion part combined with at least a part of above-mentioned pairs to stimulate acupoints.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a clip for attaching an ornamental item to an article. The clip includes a base having an ornamental surface and an attachment device secured to said base for movement between a first position and a second position relative to said base to open and close the clip to engage a portion of an article therebetween. A plurality of projections are secured to said base, wherein each projection projects toward said attachment device to engage a portion of the article therebetween. At least one of the projections has a layer of relatively soft, elastomeric friction engaging material to enhance the grasping capabilities of the clip, without damaging the article.

Abstract: A sanitary ear clip display member for trying on a pierced-type earring being substantially U-shaped in configuration and having a pin receiving member attached at one end to a movable clip member and the pin receiving member attached at the other end to a second clip member. The ear clip display member also includes a pivot pin and spring member attached to the one end of the pin receiving member; and to one end of the movable clip member. The movable clip member is movable in a spring biased manner from an opened position to a closed position; and the pin receiving member has a pin receiving passageway for receiving a pin of the pierced-type earring therethrough for displaying the pierced-type earring. The clip members and the pin receiving member form the U-shaped configuration for forming a channel therebetween in order to receive an ear lobe therein allowing the user to try on the pierced-type earrings in a sanitary manner.
Abstract: A ear adornment for allowing a user to adorn an ear of the user. The ear adornment includes a frame member being designed for selectively engaging the ear of the user. A sleeve member is selectively coupled to the frame member whereby the sleeve member is designed for being positioned adjacent the ear of the user when the frame member engages the ear of the user. The sleeve member is designed for providing the user with a unique appearance when the sleeve member is coupled to the frame member.
Abstract: A body ornament has first and second positioning arms that are pivotally connected together. The first positioning arm crosses the second positioning arm at first and second crossing points. A generally elongated loop is formed between the crossing points for receiving the body part. The size of the loop is adjustable by pivoting the positioning arms either toward or away from each other. The positioning arms are preferably biased toward each other so that a minimal loop size is initially formed. In one embodiment, the pivot joint between the first and second positioning arms includes a pivot pin. A loop is formed at one end of the pin for receiving a decorative item. In a further embodiment, the pivot joint is in the form of an integral hinge that biases the first and second positioning arms toward each other.
Abstract: A connecting device for jewelry and accessories includes a male member formed as a pole having a tapered head, a groove on the surrounding surface at the bottom end, and having a connecting portion for connecting to jewelry and accessories at the end. A female member formed as an open and close box, includes a cover having a half-circle insertion aperture for the male member at one side in the longitudinal direction with or without a guide cylinder or a guide wall, and includes a base having a hook-recess of the said groove of the male member. A connecting portion for connecting to jewelry and accessory is provided at the end of the base. The box is made so that a shaft penetrates the cover and the base, and a spring member biases the cover and the base in the closing direction.
Abstract: An adjustable ear clip device and of the type providing variable pressure on surfaces of the outer ear. The adjustable ear clip comprises two primary members: a base plate (1) with two opposing support ears (2), and an ear-engaging member which includes an ear-engaging plate (3) comprising a spring tongue (4) and paired pivot arms (6l and 6r). The two opposing support ears (2) are oriented perpendicularly to the base plate (1), and comprise a multiplicity of opposed apertures (5) of varying distances from the base plate (1). The opposing support ears (2) may be in the form of parallel columns or an arch, and may be connected by a planar or rounded connection plate (7) that is substantially perpendicular to both the base plate (1) and the paired pivot arms (6l and 6r).
Abstract: A clip on protective earring for attachment to a user's ear to protect a sensitive newly formed piercing in the ear lobe. The clip on protective earring includes a pair of body members pivotally coupled together so that inner faces of the body members face each other. The inner faces of the body members are biased towards one another. The inner face of each body member has a concave cupped region with an arcuate pad disposed therein.
Abstract: An article of jewelry has a first (5) and a second part (3) and a hinge (7) which articulatedly connects the two parts (3, 5) in such a way that the parts (3, 5) are movable between a first closed position and a second opened position. The article of jewelry is characterized in that a spring (21) is provided which forces the two parts (3, 5) into the closed position.
