    Abstract: Disclosed is a maintenance method for an installation for production of containers from blanks made of plastic material, which includes: a blow-molding machine including a rotating carousel and a plurality of forming stations, each including a mold; a primary power unit connected to the carousel; a transfer device suitable for inserting a blank into a mold or for withdrawing a container therefrom; and a secondary power unit connected to the transfer device. The method includes the detection of a misalignment of the transfer device with the carousel, and, therefore, operations for desynchronization of the power units, for realigning and then for resynchronization of the transfer device and of the carousel.

The multiple components may be disassembled from the self-standing, upright assembly condition into an overlapping assembly condition with the multiple components overlapping and taking up less overall volume that in the self-standing, upright assembly condition. A fire retardant or heat resistant material may be lining an interior contour of a base of the multiple components. The top one of the multiple components may be of substantially uniform diameter along a majority of its length.

The blanks have an inner surface defining the side wall of a parison which extends upwardly to a position a defined distance below the top surface of the blanks and a continuous, beveled surface connecting the top of the inner surface defining the side wall of the parison and the top opening of the blanks. A pair of funnels, each having a continuous beveled surface extending from a circular horizontally disposed top opening downwardly to smaller centrally located bottom opening, are interfit with the top of the blanks with the top opening of the blanks and the bottom opening of the funnel being coextensive.

    Abstract: A multi-section blow molding machine for the manufacture of hollow glassware has in each section a parison mold for each pair of blow molds. The blow molds are disposed below and on opposite sides of the center of oscillation of a neck ring arm carrying rotatable neck rings and arranged so that the mold or molds on one side are open when those on the other side are closed. The molds and neck ring arm are interconnected to oscillate together in opposite directions between lockable positions 180.degree. apart. The parison mold and associated feed and plunger means are movable in and out of operative position below and above the neck ring arm respectively, and operate in timed relation thereto. The open blow molds are spray cooled during the blowing cycle as well as during oscillation of the neck ring arm between its locked positions. In the closed blow molds, the blowing is continued simultaneously with the spray cooling to further cool the molded articles prior to release to a take-out conveyor.
