With Diverse Motion Of Mold Patents (Class 65/238)
  • Patent number: 5110339
Abstract: A neck ring mechanism of an H-28 glass forming machine is operated by a neck ring lever which is pivotally supported and controlled by a cam roller which is displaced along a timing cam. To precisely define the timing of the lever, the lever is displaceable relative to a sleeve which is secured to the shaft and a control knob operating through an adjuster plate assembly adjusts the axial location of the lever.

  • Patent number: 5090988
Abstract: A bottom plate for an H-28 machine is secured to a post which is received within a hollow stud and sits on a ball bearing supported within the stud. The post which has an annular groove cooperates with a plurality of locking pins which can be held in operative relation with the post groove or released by a rotatable collar.

  • Patent number: 4417915
Abstract: A delivery system for use for delivering gobs of glass from a plurality of feeder orifices to a plurality of sets of a plurality of blank molds. The blank mold sets are rotated about a central axis with each blank mold of each set being positioned a different radial distance from the axis. The delivery system includes individual gob guiding units each having a lower end positioned over its associated blank mold as each set of blank molds are rotated underneath. The lower end of each unit is moved at a different relative tangential velocity to match the different relative tangential velocity of its associated blank mold. The scoops of the gob guiding units are independently moveable into and out of their feeding positions.

  • Patent number: 4339264
Abstract: A glass forming machine of the rotary table type which utilizes a plurality of individual forming units each of which has a plurality of blank molds and a plurality of blow molds whereby a plurality of glassware articles may be made in a single unit during a cycle. The machine also incorporates an improved neck ring structure, a neck ring quick disconnect, a unique rotating bottom plate structure, a unique blow mold spraying and an improved blow head operating mechanism and an approved structural arrangement. Additionally, a unique delivery system for delivering gobs of glass to the blank molds of the individual forming units is disclosed. The takeout mechanism and transfer mechanism also have unique characteristics.

  • Patent number: 4134748
Abstract: A mechanism for operating the molds of a glass molding machine. The glass molding machine includes a base and a table rotatably mounted on the base. The glass forming molds are operatively mounted on the rotary table. A plurality of work stations are provided on the base and cooperate to define glass molding cycle for each of the molds. The table is indexed by a drive through a preselected angle by a drive mechanism so that the molds are each moved to each of the work stations. An over the center linkage is provided for normally holding the molds in a closed position. An operating cylinder is at one of the work stations for selectively opening each mold for removal of the formed glass product during the cycle. The indexing drive moves each of the molds past the opening means at least one time during each cycle, each cycle generally being 720.degree., without opening the mold. The linkage also holds each of the molds in the open position for a selected interval for removal of the formed glass product.
