Forming And Bonding Glass Sheet To Metal Part Patents (Class 65/50)
  • Patent number: 11142476
Abstract: Submerged combustion burners having a burner body and a burner tip body connected thereto. The burner body has an external conduit and a first internal conduit substantially concentric therewith. The external conduit and first internal conduit form an annulus for passing a cooling fluid there between. A second internal conduit substantially concentric with the external conduit forms a second annulus between the first and second internal conduits. A burner tip body is connected to the burner body at ends of the external and first internal conduits. The burner tip body includes a generally central flow passage for a combustible mixture, the flow passage defined by an inner wall of the burner tip body. The burner tip body further has an outer wall and a crown connecting the inner and outer walls. The crown includes at least one physical convolution sufficient to increase surface area and fatigue resistance of the crown.

  • Patent number: 6551720
Abstract: Materials for making a plasma display having a transparent front panel spaced from a back panel which is a metal core having layers of a dielectric material extending over and bonded to the core. The materials of which the back panel is made are chosen to form a back panel having a thermal coefficient of expansion compatible with that of the front panel. The dielectric material is made from a green ceramic tape which is bonded to the core and cofired with the core to form the back panel. The materials for the dielectric can be chosen such that the composite TCE of the cofired assembly matches the TCE of the front panel.

  • Patent number: 5974832
Abstract: A method for manufacturing glass and gold slabs for mosaics, comprising the steps of: applying a fluid or semifluid suspension that contains gold to a glass sheet of suitable thickness; heating the sheet and the suspension so as to obtain a film-like coating of the sheet according to the intended extension and contour; protecting the film-like covering with a thin layer of molten glass; and heating the sandwich of layers so as to obtain a single sheet composed of the glass of suitable thickness, the gold coating and the thin glass layer.

  • Patent number: 4610710
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting discontinuities in electric conductor heating lines in automobile heated back lights is disclosed. The apparatus includes a "Hall effect" probe, a microprocessor, a display, a stepping motor drive, an optical scanner and associated circuitry. The method includes the steps of energizing the heating grid and moving a Hall effect probe in the vicinity of each conductor line. Any heater line having discontinuity will lack a detectable magnetic field.
