  • Patent number: 5852961
Abstract: A tool for use as an aid in emptying waste fluid from a reservoir to a waste container. This tool is a funnel shaped device having a large circular opening for entrance of waste fluid. A funnel wall extends from the larger opening to a smaller opening, preferably offset from the larger circular opening. Access to the funnel interior is provided through the funnel wall, serving as a guide and seal for passage of a wrench extension. The end of the extension is preferably a standard 3/8" square drive plug for mounting an appropriately sized 3/8" drive socket or plug for removal of the reservoir drain plug. The choice of socket or plug to be mounted to the extension depends on the configuration of the drain plug. The opposite end of the wrench extension has a socket for adapting to a preferred 3/8" driver. In operation, the wrench extension is passed through the access to the funnel interior, and the appropriate sized socket or plug is placed on the 3/8" drive end of the wrench extension.

Abstract: A multi-tool with an assembly of tool instruments particularly useful for the field maintenance of chain saws. The multi-tool includes a hollow handle with a spark plug socket connected at one and a plurality of tool instruments pivotally connected at the end opposite the spark plug socket. The tool instruments include a raker gauge, small tooth file, large tooth file, small screw driver, large screw driver, air filter brush and serrated knife. The tools pivot about the handle end into the hollow handle. Included with the tool is a sliver tweezer which is insertable into an aperture formed within the multi-tool handle. The spark plug socket is pivoted about one end of the multi-tool handle and locked in place in a keyed-portion of the handle, thereby providing a tool acting as a socket wrench capable of applying substantial torque to a work piece, e.g., spark plug.

  • Patent number: 5715554
Abstract: A bicycle pump and tire repair apparatus incorporating into a single unit an air pump for inflating a bicycle tire, a tire lever for removing a tire from a bicycle rim, a spoke wrench for repairing and adjusting the spokes of a rim, and a compartment for storing a patch for repairing a punctured bicycle tire is disclosed. The air pump is compactly designed for carrying on a bicycle. A thumblock on the head of the pump performs a dual function of locking the nozzle of the pump onto the valve of a tire being inflated, and it functions as a tire removal lever. A cap on the head of the pump has a knurled surface for abrading an inner tube to prepare it for application of a patch. A slot in the pump handle holds a second tire lever, and a compartment in the end cap of the handle stores a self-adhesive patch for repairing a punctured tire.

  • Patent number: 5685207
Abstract: An improved, two-piece multipurpose wrench tool which offers the strength of a standard four-way lug wrench, the flexibility of an adjustable socket set, and the compact storage ability of a straight, single-piece tool. An elongated leverage bar is inserted through a bore of a main wrench shaft member whereby a thimble-shaped section of the leverage bar becomes securely wedged within the similarly sized and shaped interior surface of the bore. The main wrench shaft member has a standard automobile lug nut socket on one end and a male socket adaptor on the other. Such male socket adaptor is capable of receiving the female attachment end of sockets having a variety of sizes. During operation, the leverage bar is used to provide the torque necessary to either tighten or loosen nuts or bolts. The leverage bar of the present invention also has a standard screwdriver head formed at one of its ends to allow for miscellaneous screwdriving applications and the convenient removal of hub caps and tires.
