Abstract: A multi-functional tool that is particularly useful for in-field service and maintenance of a chainsaw, the tool having a handle section and a head section, wherein the handle section includes a plurality of tubular openings adapted to receive a multiplicity of repair tools, such as a chain file, depth gauge, screwdriver, wrench tool, etc., without requiring the removal of all other tools. The head section includes a pair of spaced-apart spikes to allow the tool to be secured to a wooden structure, such as a tree stump and a clamp to secure the chainsaw while service or maintenance is performed. The multi-functional chainsaw field maintenance tool further includes a device to facilitate transport of the multi-functional tool, such as a belt clip, shoulder strap or magnetic attachment device.

Abstract: A welder multi-tool is provided including a sleeve having a first leg portion, a second leg portion, and a bridge portion interconnecting the first leg portion and the second leg portion. The sleeve extends along a central axis passing through the bridge portion and defines a space between the leg portions. A single axle is attached to the sleeve and spans, along an axis, the space defined between the leg portions. The axis of the axle does not intersect the central axis of the sleeve. The welder multi-tool further includes a plurality of tools rotatably attached to the axle. Each tool axis does not intersect the axis of the axle. The plurality of tools includes a fillet gauge tool and a thickness gauge tool. A further example of the welder multi-tool includes a fillet gauge tool, a thickness gauge tool, a soap stone, and a welding nozzle cleaner.

Abstract: The invention described herein generally relates to a pliers welding multi-tool including welding pliers and a plurality of welding tools that can be stowed in one or both handles of the pliers welding multi-tool. The pliers welding multi-tool handles can include rotating, sliding, or other interfaces to store or take out the pliers or other tools. Other tools integrated in the pliers portion or stored within the handles can include a welding fillet gauge, a welding thickness gauge, a welding tip remover, a welding nozzle remover, a bevel-angle tool, a root gap gauge, a plate and rod gauge, and others.

The hex wrench, knife, Phillips head screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, scissors and measuring tape are rotatably associated with the funeral service apparatus to be configurable between an extended configuration and a stored configuration. Moreover, the holy water containment vial, the committal sand containment vial and the pen are slidably associated with the funeral service apparatus to be configurable between an extended configuration and a stored configuration.

In another embodiment, one tool arm includes at least one jigger including a cup configured to receive and retain a volume of liquid. In still another embodiment, the muddler/reamer is pivotally connected with the handle so as to extend between two jiggers when in a storage position and to be pivotally moved away from the two jiggers and from the space in relation to the handle when deployed in an operational position.

Abstract: A multi-tool assembly with retractable tape measure, collapsible right angle square, straight edge arm with built-in razor blade knife and protractor, complete with a set of three retractable screwdrivers, all mounted in a single, compact, housing assembly. The combination; straight edge arm and razor blade knife, locks into one of several positions; to stay closed, to form into a carpenter's square and to extend the razor blade knife. The arm can be manually opened or spring powered to snap open like a switchblade when the release button is activated. The thin razor blade cutting edge creates a knife that is much sharper than ordinary pocket knives. The set of screwdrivers are permanently mounted within the back of the housing assembly. Each of the screwdrivers can be pivoted open to protrude out from the back of the housing assembly, allowing each screwdriver to be used individually.

Abstract: A hand-held instrument comprising a writing utensil and associated handles interconnected to each other to allow a user to selectively position the writing utensil in either an extended position of use or a closed position of storage, as well as a variety of positions there between. The writing utensil may take a variety of forms, and the handles may incorporate additional devices or tools. The rotation of the handles about the writing utensil allows a user to manipulate the handles in a variety of ways, similar to that of a “butterfly knife” or similar device comprising balisong style openings. In one aspect of the invention, the writing instrument may be used to perform moves or tricks as a novelty device to provide entertainment and enjoyment to a user.

Abstract: A combined tool includes a cutting tool that has a housing including a pair of conjoined shells. Each shell has a U-shaped notch formed at a distal end thereof that form a rectangular opening when the shells are abutted. Each shell has an interior groove formed therein that creates a storage chamber after the shells are abutted. A fastener is inserted through the shells. A plastic cap is connected to proximal ends of the shells. A measuring tape has a housing and an extendable and retractable body housed therein that has a rigid stop member coupled thereto. The stop member is vertically interfitted into the opening and remains spaced from the storage chamber so the user can maintain a continuous line of sight into the storage chamber while the body is engaged with the opening. The measuring tape and the cutting tool travel in sync during cutting procedures.

A blade (14), containing a similar tear-shaped aperture (18), is sandwiched between said two flat members of said main body, and pivotally attached (20) to said main body towards one end. A means for grasping (26) on said blade at the opposite end from the pivotal connection allows the user to grasp said blade between thumb and finger and rotate it out through a long open edge of said main body, until a fused section of said flat members stops it when the blade edge (30) is at an approximate ninety-degree angle to said main body.

Module 14 is preferably removable and is adapted contain an electronic or mechanical device, such as a mechanical compass 172, an electronic compass 215, or other electronic devices. Abstract: An illuminating utility knife has an easy-access to spare blades contained therein. The knife has a housing made up of a first cover and a second cover coupled together and fastened by at least one screw. A blade is slidably contained in the housing. The utility knife of the invention can be used in dim light because an illuminating device is provided in the knife. The illuminating device includes a bulb installed near the blade, a battery chamber defined in the housing for containing at least one battery, and a switch used for actuating the bulb. Additionally, a spare blade drawer is provided and slidably contained in a passage defined in the housing. At least one spare blade is stored in the spare blade drawer and therefore is easy to be taken out for use.

Abstract: A multi-purpose tool including a plurality of tools useful to have available in an automobile, such as a flashlight, a tire pressure gauge, a scraper, and a fuse puller. The scraper preferably is pivotably mounted to a handle of the multi-purpose tool in a manner which permits the scraper to be positioned substantially perpendicular to the tool handles to permit scraping force to be applied to the scraper in an efficient manner. The multi-purpose tool preferably also includes a tool with pivotable jaws, such as a pair of foldable pliers, as well as a variety of pivotably mounted tools such as a cutting blade, a screwdriver, and a cap lifter. The tool preferably has two handles, each handle having storage channels for the tools coupled thereto. The tool jaws are pivotably mounted to the handles for selective movement between a storage position in the handles and a working position in which the jaws work together.

Abstract: A utility tool comprises a plurality of separate tools or implements mounted within a single light-weight housing. The tool includes a retractable knife blade and a retractable saw blade which are extendable from one end thereof each under control of a particular locking knob. The knob includes spring mechanism which engages teeth along slots on the side of the housing. A level and a detachable tape measure are mounted on the other end of the housing with a pencil force fit between grips on the upper edge of the tool.

Abstract: A magnetically latching butterfly knife 10 having a magnetic latch 20 coupled thereto. The magnetic latch 20 is coupled to the magnetically latching butterfly knife 10. The magnetic latch 20 is coupled to at least one of the handle components 14 and/or 15. The magnetic latch 20 has at least one magnetic component 19 and at least one magnetic attracting surface 10A (i.e. magnet or metal surface) that are able to couple to at least one of the handle components 14 and 15. At least one magnetic component 19 and at least one magnetic attracting surface 10A magnetically attract and couple to each other to be able to provide open and closed latching operations for the butterfly knife 10. The magnetic latch 20 secures the first handle component 14 and the second handle component 15 in an open latched position and also in a closed latched position. The magnetic latch 20 may be configured and coupled to the butterfly knife 10 in many ways in order to provide the open latched and closed latched positions.

The casing or handle has at least one hollow channel within which is disposed at least one light bulb, and one power source out of contact with one another. Activation of switch completes electrical circuit thus activating the light source/s. Alternative embodiments illustrate different positions for various switch components. The handle can be partially or entirely constructed from a light transmissive or optical wave dispersing material which guides light through the handle and assists in illuminating the blade/implement and its surrounding work surface. The casing supports the desired tool/implement in the field of light. The casing houses at least one chamber in which one or more blades/implements are connected. Blades/implements are fixed in permanent position or folding/collapsible for the purpose of storing and protecting the implements until use.

Abstract: Cutting structure for scoring or cutting surfaces is disclosed. The cutting structure includes a housing having elongated sides, a blade and thumb positioning structure associated with the elongated sides. Measurement means may be positioned against the thumb positioning structure and may be held in place by the user's thumb thus providing a measured distance which may be cut. The invention further includes angled structure associated with the housing which provides a guiding surface when making angled or mitered cuts along the edge of drywall. The invention may also include a retractable measuring structure retained within the housing, a retractable blade, retaining means formed in the housing for housing spare blades and a notch for cutting rope and the like.

Abstract: A utility knife is disclosed herein having an elongated body pivotally housing a knife blade adapted to be moved between a folded position within a storage cavity and an operative position extended from one end of the body. A cutting edge is provided along one side of the blade and a finger grasping protrusion is integrally carried on its opposite side for moving the blade between its two positions. A snap shackle is carried on the end of the body adjacent to the pivot connection of the blade so that the shackle substantially fits the contour of the blade protrusion when the blade is extended into its operative position and so that the shackle is exposed when the blade is in its storage position. One side of the body displays a measuring scale and as an option, a pry bar may be integrally carried on the body end opposite from its end pivotally carrying the folding blade.

Abstract: A knife system with symmetrical "U"-section swing handles has a removable, integral accessory detachably force fitted to it to lock the handles together in blade-exposed or use-position, and to serve as a scraper, a pair of offset screwdrivers providing finger relief, and a grip improver. The force-fit may advantageously include three types of engagement between the lock and the handles for maximum security. The lock may be easily installed by tapping it with or against something; removal is difficult except by appropriately directed tapping.
