Abstract: A shingle gauge includes a circular collar that is adjustable secured to the hammerhead of a conventional hammer and includes a pair of rearwardly projecting side rails, which are connected by a stud having a cylindrically headed nuts fastened outside the side rails. The distance between the cylindrically headed nuts and a front edge of the shingle gauge is used to measure the desired distance between adjacent rows of shingles fastened to a roof.
