Abstract: An anti-theft device for a vehicle includes an approach prevention cover disposed in a shift lever housing to cover a shift cable connected to a shift lever so as to prevent the shift cable from being detached. Such an anti-theft vehicle makes is possible to easily and efficiently prevent theft of the vehicle by preventing a shift cable operated along with operation of a shift lever from being removed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for identifying an unwanted short message service (SMS) message from SMS messages received by a cellular mobile communication system, which comprises at least a history database (HB) for storing a set (H) of the messages received by the cellular mobile communication system. The method includes the steps of: measuring a difference in an information content between a SMS message (m) received by the cellular mobile communication system and the set (H) of messages stored in the history database (HB), and marking the SMS message (m) as being an unwanted SMS message if the difference that is measured is less than or equal to a predefined threshold value.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for obtaining altitude-related data along roads. A vehicle includes equipment capable of determining the current absolute positions of the vehicle as it is being driven. The vehicle also includes equipment capable of determining a distance traveled by the vehicle. Two points along a road are selected. Altitude-related data are determined as a function of the horizontal difference between the absolute positions of the two points and the distance traveled by the vehicle between the two points.
