Abstract: A device includes an actuating device, and the actuating device includes: a locking device having a lock; an actuating member which pivots about an axis of rotation to move a movable furniture part; and a spring device which biases the actuating member to pivot about the axis of rotation in an opening direction. The lock is lockable by a key for preventing the actuating member from pivoting about the axis of rotation, and the lock is unlockable by the key for enabling the actuating member from pivoting about the axis of rotation.
Abstract: A steering lock device includes a lock member that is slidable between a lock position and an unlock position, and a slider that is disposed slidably in a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the lock member. A sloped portion that is linearly sloped toward the steering shaft along a slide direction of the slider is provided on at least one of the lock member and the slider. The lock member is shifted between the lock position and the unlock position by the sloped portion in response to sliding of the slider. According to the steering lock device, downsizing can be brought due to its short height along a stroke direction of the lock member and cost reduction by commoditization of its main components can be achieved.
Abstract: A steering lock device includes a pin protruded from a side surface of an arm of a slider, a guide groove disposed on a housing to accommodate the slider slidably, and a cover wall the pin when the slider positions at its lock end within the guide groove. According to the steering lock device, it can be made difficult to unlock a steering shaft through an improper act, and thereby superior antitheft performance can be brought.
Abstract: A lock for doors, gates, lids and similar closure means, comprising a base plate that can be placed on the outer surface of a door panel and has an extension that extends through the panel. A hand lever is pivotably mounted to the base plate and can be accommodated therein. The hand lever can be locked via a locking mechanism in the position in which it is pivoted into the base plate. The locking mechanism is comprised of an electrically actuatable locking element disposed in the extension of the base plate. A lock cylinder is provided for also mechanically actuating the locking element.
Abstract: The invention is directed to lock levers for use in an automatic beverage machine for filling cans for example. The lock lever may have an L-shaped configuration with a first and second leg, and a first engagement surface on a side of the second leg which transitions to a second engagement surface at the distal end of the second leg. The lock lever is selectively rotated between operational and non-operational positions, and the first engagement surface transitions into the second engagement surface. The transition from the first engagement surface to the second engagement surface positions the second engagement surface at a predetermined height without the first or second engagement surface extending above the predetermined height.
Abstract: An ice cream scooping implement includes an elongated handle that has an axial bore extending from a handle distal end and terminates approximately midway therealong. The handle has an end cap removably mated to a proximal end thereof. A scooping section is telescopically and removably insertable into the axial bore and includes a mechanism for locking the scooping section within the handle. A heating element is concentrically seated about a proximal portion of the scooping section, is in direct contact with the scooping section, is isolated from the handle, and is formed from thermal-conductive and electrical-conductive material, including tungsten. The heating element includes a pair of conductive terminals that extend proximally along a longitudinal length thereof. A mechanism is included for supplying power to the heating element. The terminals are directly engaged with the power supplying mechanism.
Abstract: An electric motor-operated actuator for a motor vehicle lock is provided which permits manual activation in a very wide range of operation. The actuator includes a control crank formed by an outer and an inner guide cam which, over a considerable angular range, have a radial distance from one another which corresponds roughly to the radial distance from an inner stop and an outer stop to allow free manual switching of the control lever between two operating states. The guide cams which form the control crank have radii which change only in a relatively small angular range for purposes of displacement of the control lever, and therefore have a relatively large rise. Preferably, the actuator is overall self-locking.
Abstract: A device for locking the gear shift of a motor vehicle is made up of a lock seat, a shackle and a lock body. The lock seat is provided with ratchet teeth engagable with the ratchet teeth of the lock seat. The lock body is mounted on a gear shift mount of the motor vehicle and is provided with a stopping block and a lock core. The stopping block has a tapered free end capable of being moved downwards by the lock core so as to be caught by the toothed portion of the lock seat, thereby enabling the gear-shifting lever to be locked securely at the park gear position.
Abstract: A locking device is provided which includes a body comprising a tube with a bore and a longitudinally-extending flange with a plurality of shackle receivers. The bore is adapted to slideably receive an elongate member, such as a load binder handle. The body is secured to a second member, for example a load binder connector or a load chain link, by a padlock including a case and a shackle receivable in a respective shackle receiver. With the padlock in its locked position, the elongate member and the second member are secured together.
Abstract: An internal combustion engine such as that used on a motorcycle is made burglarproof by making inoperable any one of a number of movable engine parts. Externally a key is used to lock such engine elements as the crankshaft, drive shaft, transmission components, shift components and clutch components. A locking means is also disclosed that prevents the two engine casings from being taken apart.
