  • Patent number: 4838057
Abstract: A combination lock to be fitted in a door having standard size lock and bolt bores therein. A series of code pins extend through the lock bore and are movable between set and reset positions from both sides of the door to permit rotation of an exterior knob spindle to release the lock. An interior knob may be rotated to release the lock even though locked from the exterior. An adjustment feature selectively adjusts the lock to act as either a single lock or a double lock.

  • Patent number: 4799371
Abstract: A keyless button lock is described in which a plurality of lock buttons are provided, each button requiring a particular number of presses to attain an open or lock release position. A lock element is also provided which, when actuated, returns all buttons to a locked position. The buttons have more than one release or open position so that master and grand master keying can be provided. The lock may be coupled to a door lock mechanism in a single unit to minimize space and complexity. Embodiments of the invention are described.

  • Patent number: 4754625
Abstract: The knob spindle of a door lock is locked by a locking element supported for movement about an axis parallel to the spindle axis, and a latch, also supported for movement about an axis parallel to the spindle axis, latches the locking element in both locking and unlocking positions. Spring means urge the latch into latching position. Electromagnets are energized sequentially to move the latch into unlatching position and the locking element into unlocking position.

  • Patent number: 4748833
Abstract: This invention relates to a so-called "keyless" type button operated combination lock which can be unlocked by a button operation and locked by a handle operation. A number of buttons exposed on the front side of a case can be set in a combination and a key plate that engages with a bolt lock and keeps it in the locked state is unlocked by setting the buttons, and actuator keys to which they are attached, to a combination but prevents unlocking if the unlocking operation is erroneously carried out. These keys are made in the same shape and size, and the set positions for the memory state and the non-memory state can be interchanged by reversing key positions. These keys are loosely inserted into corresponding slits in the key plate and permit the selection of various operating conditions in conjunction with the key plate slits. When the keys are brought into the "ON" state, they are detachably hooked to the lock plate.

  • Patent number: 4722435
Abstract: There is described a case for valuable documents, such as notably checks, credit cards, bank notes, etc., comprised of a box with a lid and a closure which may only be opened by inputting a code number, as well as a capsule or phial filled with a pressurized liquid which can destroy or make useless said documents, in which said capsule or phial is made completely or partly from fusible material, and said capsule or phial may be opened or unplugged electrically when electric or electronic means the case is fitted with, are operated due to any break-in attempt.

  • Patent number: 4672826
Abstract: An electromechanical lock with coded keyboard programmable by several users. The lock is unlocked electrically by an eccentric, actuated by an electric motor, which acts on a trigger to unlock the device. The eccentric is a disk mounted eccentrically on a shaft of the electric motor. The rotation of the shaft causes the disk to turn, which, under the action of centrifugal force, strikes the trigger so as to free the bolt. A disk of plastic material is fixed concentrically with the axis of the motor, and a second disk of suitable mass is mounted on the first disk in an eccentric manner with respect to the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4640110
Abstract: A permutation lock having pushbutton code controls and automatic cancelling of the code when the latch is operated for opening the door. An adjustable time-delay device is provided for disabling the operation of the lock after a predetermined time from when the code is inserted in the lock chamber. The time delay device disables the lock after the duration of a predetermined time.

  • Patent number: 4627250
Abstract: A resettable combination lock includes a plurality of user depressable buttons and a user-settable interposers for coupling selected ones of the buttons to a first button-actuation counter that counts correct button depressions and the other of the buttons to another button-actuation counter that counts incorrect button depressions. In addition, each button is coupled to a third counter that counts the total number of button actuations. In order to effect unlocking, the correct button sequence must be pushed to cause the first counter to count the proper number of correct button actuations and the third counter to count the proper number of button actuations without registering a single count on the second counter. The incrementing of a single count on the second counter, which indicates the depressing of a button not in the unlock sequence, will prevent the lock from being unlocked.

  • Patent number: 4575141
Abstract: A safety dead-bolt lock adapted to be mounted on a door. The safety dead-bolt lock has a bolt and a rotatable bolt activator. A safety knob is adapted to rotate the bolt activator and thus extend and withdraw the bolt. The safety knob has a rotatable member engaged with the bolt activator and a stationary member adapted to be fixed to the door. A disengageable interlocking mechanism is adapted to prevent rotation of the rotatable member relative to the stationary member. Depressable tabs mounted in the rotatable member disengage the interlocking mechanism when depressed, allowing the rotatable member to be turned to withdraw and extend the bolt. The tabs are in such an arrangement and are so oriented that they are conveniently presented toward the hand of a user located on the side of the door on which the stationary member is mounted, but the hand of a person reaching from the other side of the door cannot readily assume the position necessary to depress the tabs.

  • Patent number: 4274272
Abstract: Mechanical digital lock operable through a series of mechanical operations actuated by the depression of digital keys comprises an intellectual combination of essential mechanisms including a plurality of keys, digital selectors, identifiers, locking means and automatic resets. The lock cannot be opened unless the predetermined digitals are sequentially depressed. Once the lock is opened, it is automatically reset. A change of combination of digitals can easily be manually effected without any tool. With its novel structure, it is highly reliable.
