  • Patent number: 8073562
Abstract: An inventory system with feedback for picking or placing items is disclosed. In this system, there is a plurality of bins or storage locations, one for each item stored. The bins are typically used in a warehouse to fulfill and ship orders of a list of items. Each bin or pair of bins is equipped with a module for directing a picking specialist to the correct bin for manually picking an order. When the picking specialist reaches into a bin to select an item, a passive heat sensor senses heat from the picker's hand, or a magnet detecting circuit detects a magnet on the picker's hand or wrist. This provides positive feedback that the correct bin was sought to retrieve the item, or an alarm or other signal may indicate the incorrect bin. The system may also be used to replenish inventory or return items to stock.

Abstract: A bellcore-style latch with a safety lock feature, having a handle with a shank. The shank has an axial bore, with side apertures extending through the shank into the bore. A lock plug is positioned in the bore of the handle, and has a head and a shaft. The shaft has recessed portions and unrecessed portions, and the lock plug is rotatable to move the lock plug between a locked position, wherein the unrecessed portions are in alignment with the side apertures to cause the ball bearings located therein to protrude from the side apertures, and an unlocked position, wherein the unrecessed portions are in alignment with the side apertures permitting the ball bearings to retract into the side apertures. A spring is used to bias the lock plug to its locked position. An escutcheon with an aperture is provided for receiving the shank portion. The aperture has pockets for the ball bearings.

  • Patent number: 6490896
Abstract: In a door lock handle assembly of pull-out and side-swinging lever-action type, an operating handle is released from its retracted position without fail upon receipt of an unlocking signal issued from a site remote from the handle assembly, and is automatically locked again to the retracted position when pushed back into the retracted position. A solenoid (12) is fixedly mounted on a rear surface of a housing (2). A latch portion (7) is formed in a receiving lever plate (13) pivoted to the housing (2). The solenoid (12) has its plunger (14) pivoted to the lever plate (13) which is rotatably biased by a spring (15) in the direction in which the lever plate (13) is engaged with a stopper plate (8). When the solenoid (12) is energized, the lever plate (13) is pulled back to have the latch portion (7) disengaged from the stopper plate (8).

  • Patent number: 6427501
Abstract: A swivelling lever control that can be locked after being swiveled inwards and for closing switchboard cabinet doors has a trough set on the outer surface of a door, in which the driving device for the closure, such as gear drive, lever drive or locking shaft, is arranged. An actuating lever is articulated to the driving device so as to swivel out of the trough about an axis parallel to the supporting surface of the trough. A hook device on the actuating lever engages a back engagement surface of the trough when the actuating lever is swiveled in, thus retaining the actuating lever after it has been swiveled into the trough. The actuating lever projects at its free end beyond the trough and bears an unlocking device with an actuating surface for the hook device that can be actuated by a pressure acting away from the outer surface of the door.
