  • Patent number: 7809513
Abstract: A method and system of compensating for environmental effect when detecting signals using a structural health monitoring system includes collecting baseline data signals for one or more values of the environmental effect variable from signals transmitted along selected paths between transducers in an array attached to the structure. A threshold is selected based on the baseline data for determining if the signal is detected. Current data signals are collected and matched to the best fit baseline data. The value of the environmental effect variable is determined on the basis of the matching. A signal is detected according to the selected threshold.

  • Patent number: 7809517
Abstract: A system for testing integrated circuit products and other devices under test (DUT) includes a DUT tester, which stimulates the devices under test and analyzes signals from the devices under test. A device interface board transports signals between the DUT tester and the devices under test. A test board is coupled to the device interface board and used to generate measurements associated with the devices under test, such as phase noise or phase jitter measurements. The test board could, for example, include a phase detector for detecting a phase difference between two signals and a control loop for adjusting at least one of the two signals to maintain an average of zero DC volts at an output of the phase detector. A customization module could also be used to customize the test board. The customization module could include a phase shifter, a phase-locked loop synthesizer, and/or an oscillator.

Abstract: An integrity management system predicts abnormalities in complex systems before they occur based upon the prior history of abnormalities within the complex system. A topology of the nodes of a complex system is generated and data is collected from the system based on predetermined metrics. In combination with dynamic thresholding, fingerprints of the relevant nodes within a complex system at various time intervals prior to the occurrence of the abnormality are captured and weighted. • Patent number: 7797135
Abstract: A process for correcting the time stamp of recordings such as photographs, obtained in many locations. An onboard clock records a time stamp for each photograph. GPS tracking data is obtained during movement of the camera. A time correction is sought, to account for an unknown error in the onboard clock, relative to the trusted GPS time data. To this end, an assigned location of each photograph is generated from the location tracking data and from an estimated time correction. Indicators of an appropriate time correction include clustering of the assigned locations, and correlation of the assigned locations to locations of reduced velocity. A GUI can be used to enable user assessment of clustering and/or correlation, and indication of a suitable time correction. Or, algorithmic assessment can be used. The determined time correction can be used to correct each photograph's time stamp.

Abstract: Two robotic arms roam in separate, non-overlapping areas of a test station, avoiding collisions. A traveling buffer moves along x-tracks between a front position and a back position. In the front position, a first robotic arm loads IC chips from an input tray or stacker into buffer cavities in the traveling buffer. The traveling buffer then moves along the x-tracks to the back position, where a second robotic arm moves chips from the traveling buffer to test boards for testing. After testing, the second robotic arm moves chips to a second traveling buffer, which then moves along tracks to a front position for unloading by the first robotic arm. Two traveling buffers may move on the same tracks in a loop. The buffer cavities in the traveling buffer move on internal tracks to expand and contract spacing and pitch between the front and back positions to match test-board pitch.

  • Patent number: 7747404
Abstract: A method for the analysis, control, automation, and information management of life-cycle processes of technical products includes an engineering process, an analysis process, a test process, and accesses an information system. The engineering process, the analysis process and the test process, which includes a plurality of test modules, have connections for information exchange exclusively to the control process and information system. For every test of the test modules, the scope and form of the input and output values are determined by data stored in the information system. The data that are input into the engineering process and determined, and the specified values, are processed by the process control, which determines all of the tests to be carried out. The results are passed on to the process control. The analysis process determines if data and specified values input in the engineering process have been reached by a numerical or numerical/statistical calculation.

  • Patent number: 7747415
Abstract: A system includes a structure and a circuit. The circuit is mounted to the structure. The circuit includes a sensor, a non-volatile memory, and a voltage sensitive switch. The memory and the voltage sensitive switch are connected for recording an event sensed by said sensor. The recording only uses power derived from the sensor. One embodiment of the circuit includes a processor connected for receiving a signal derived from the sensor. In this embodiment the non-volatile memory is connected to the processor for receiving and storing data derived from the signal. In one embodiment a first energy storage device is connected to receive energy from the sensor. The voltage sensitive switch is connected for releasing energy from the first energy storage device when energy stored in the first energy storage device exceeds a threshold. The processor and the non-volatile memory are connected for receiving power from the released energy.

Abstract: A plurality of first measured values (xi) are obtained by respectively measuring a plurality of measuring objects in a plurality of first measuring systems and a plurality of second measured values (yi) are obtained by respectively measuring the plurality of measuring objects in a plurality of second measuring systems, and a combination of a first measured value and a second measured value corresponding to each other is obtained as a sample point (Pi). A transformation function representing a relationship between a first reconstituted system derived from the plurality of first measuring systems and a second reconstituted system derived from the plurality of second measuring system is obtained statistically processing a plurality of sample points of the plurality of measuring objects. Subsequently, a transformed value (?i) is obtained by transforming a second measured value (yi) with the transformation function.

Abstract: Systems and methods that facilitate discovery of history data via a locator component associated with a plant embedded historian(s) of an industrial programmer (e.g., a controller device.) Such locator component can further detect micro historians that are distributed on the back plane of an industrial network. The locator component can be part of applications running on a control unit, which can function as a management control center for the industrial network system. A common data model can be employed to expose functionality and data of the organization to the embedded historian component.
