  • Patent number: 11096593
Abstract: Motion activity data is collected from at least one sensor. An initial motion activity classifier function is applied to the motion activity data to produce an initial motion activity posteriorgram. Pre-processing and segmenting the motion activity data into windows produces segmented motion activity data from which sensor specific features are extracted. An updated motion activity classifier function is generated from the extracted sensor specific features. Subsequent motion activity data is also collected from the at least one sensor, and the updated motion activity classifier function is applied to the subsequent motion activity data to produce an updated motion activity posteriorgram.

  • Patent number: 11037661
Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems generate and maintain patient-specific models of patient data to assist in monitoring a patient's unique health conditions, and to provide more informative analyses of patient data and the relationships between elements of patient data. When a patient modeling server receives patient data from an external device, the patient modeling server determines whether values for elements of patient data satisfy individualized ranges for the elements of patient data, specific to the patient. In response to this determination, the patient modeling server can transmit notification and/or alert messages, and modify the individualized ranges for the elements of patient data. The patient modeling server also determines relationships between elements of patient data, based on analyses performed on the elements of patient data, to generate patient-specific models.

  • Patent number: 11013959
Abstract: Determining pace or speed based on sensor data may include determining an amount of contact time a user's foot has with a workout surface such as the ground. Contact time may be determined by identifying samples in the sensor data that correspond to various events such as a heelstrike, a toe-off and a subsequent heelstrike. In one example, these events may be identified by determining a sequence of three sample values (e.g., a triplet) that exceeds corresponding thresholds. The validity of an identified triplet (e.g., heelstrike, toe-off and heelstrike) may be confirmed by determining whether a difference between a last event sample and a middle event sample is greater than a difference between the middle event sample and an initial event sample. Once confirmed, a contact time may be determined from the triplet. A linear or non-linear relationship may then be applied to the contact time to determine a speed or pace.

  • Patent number: 10915156
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for supervised power management between a primary platform and a secondary platform. Communication between a primary platform and a secondary platform is established. An application running on the secondary platform is captured. Input features and output measures are collected to build a training set for the application, wherein the input features are collected through direct measurement and the output measures reflect characteristics of the application. Based on the training set, power consumption of the secondary platform with an expected performance level is predicted for a new application running on the secondary platform. Accordingly, an optimal power management policy is derived that minimizes the total power consumption of the primary and secondary platforms.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a server generates expected levels of capability associated with possible combinations of settings for first and second adjustable parameters for an aspect of a software image feature. The server receives an indication of a desired level of capability for the aspect of the software image feature and, based on the indication, identifies a particular expected level of capability associated with a particular possible combination of the settings for the first and second adjustable parameters. The particular expected level of capability is closer to a desired level of capability for an aspect of a software image feature than the other expected levels of capability associated with the possible combinations of the settings for the first and second adjustable parameters. The server produces a software image that includes the particular possible combination of the settings for the first and second adjustable parameters.

  • Patent number: 10854411
Abstract: A microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) switching circuit and related apparatus is provided. A MEMS apparatus includes a MEMS switching circuit and a control circuit. The MEMS switching circuit includes a first number of MEMS switches, each configured to close and open based on a high driving voltage and a low driving voltage, respectively. The MEMS switching circuit includes a MEMS-based driver circuit configured to receive a second number of control signals that collectively identify a selected MEMS switch among the first number of MEMS switches. Accordingly, the MEMS-based driver circuit decodes the second number of control signals and causes the selected MEMS switch to close. By using a lesser number of control signals to control a larger number of MEMS switches, it may be possible to reduce control lines between the control circuit and the MEMS switching circuit, thus helping to reduce routing complexity and footprint of the MEMS apparatus.
