  • Patent number: 10915156
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for supervised power management between a primary platform and a secondary platform. Communication between a primary platform and a secondary platform is established. An application running on the secondary platform is captured. Input features and output measures are collected to build a training set for the application, wherein the input features are collected through direct measurement and the output measures reflect characteristics of the application. Based on the training set, power consumption of the secondary platform with an expected performance level is predicted for a new application running on the secondary platform. Accordingly, an optimal power management policy is derived that minimizes the total power consumption of the primary and secondary platforms.

  • Patent number: 10915307
Abstract: In one embodiment, a server generates expected levels of capability associated with possible combinations of settings for first and second adjustable parameters for an aspect of a software image feature. The server receives an indication of a desired level of capability for the aspect of the software image feature and, based on the indication, identifies a particular expected level of capability associated with a particular possible combination of the settings for the first and second adjustable parameters. The particular expected level of capability is closer to a desired level of capability for an aspect of a software image feature than the other expected levels of capability associated with the possible combinations of the settings for the first and second adjustable parameters. The server produces a software image that includes the particular possible combination of the settings for the first and second adjustable parameters.

  • Patent number: 10854411
Abstract: A microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) switching circuit and related apparatus is provided. A MEMS apparatus includes a MEMS switching circuit and a control circuit. The MEMS switching circuit includes a first number of MEMS switches, each configured to close and open based on a high driving voltage and a low driving voltage, respectively. The MEMS switching circuit includes a MEMS-based driver circuit configured to receive a second number of control signals that collectively identify a selected MEMS switch among the first number of MEMS switches. Accordingly, the MEMS-based driver circuit decodes the second number of control signals and causes the selected MEMS switch to close. By using a lesser number of control signals to control a larger number of MEMS switches, it may be possible to reduce control lines between the control circuit and the MEMS switching circuit, thus helping to reduce routing complexity and footprint of the MEMS apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10814169
Abstract: Determining pace or speed based on sensor data may include determining an amount of contact time a user's foot has with a workout surface such as the ground. Contact time may be determined by identifying samples in the sensor data that correspond to various events such as a heelstrike, a toe-off and a subsequent heelstrike. In one example, these events may be identified by determining a sequence of three sample values (e.g., a triplet) that exceeds corresponding thresholds. The validity of an identified triplet (e.g., heelstrike, toe-off and heelstrike) may be confirmed by determining whether a difference between a last event sample and a middle event sample is greater than a difference between the middle event sample and an initial event sample. Once confirmed, a contact time may be determined from the triplet. A linear or non-linear relationship may then be applied to the contact time to determine a speed or pace.

  • Patent number: 10719314
Abstract: Embodiments construct a precise and scalable call graph that models potentially incomplete object-oriented program code, including libraries. The call graph encodes the probabilities of call relationships in the graph, where the probabilities are based on context information from the program, and are adjusted based on client configurations. Embodiments derive topics to associate with unknown elements, as well as probabilities for those topics, from declared types of the unknown elements. Configuration information encodes sets of feature conditions that direct the weighting of the unknown element types. As embodiments propagate type tuples through the graph, the probabilities of the types for each node are recalculated based on the type/probability information for the predecessors of the node. Type/probability information joins are necessary for nodes with multiple dependencies, where the manner of the join is configurable by the client.

  • Patent number: 10246859
Abstract: A hand cleaning system includes four cleaning devices, a sensing device and a control device. Cleaning services respectively provided by the four cleaning devices are different. The control device controls each of the cleaning devices and the sensing device. The control device is set with procedure control data, which causes the control device to sequentially activate the cleaning devices when read. The control device has a first operation mode in which each of the cleaning devices can be independently activated, and a second operation mode in which the procedure control data is read upon acquiring a procedure activation signal to temporarily control the cleaning devices to operate. The control device in the second operation mode determines whether a usage time of each of the cleaning devices satisfies a minimum usage time condition to accordingly demand a user to properly perform hand cleaning.

  • Patent number: 10145857
Abstract: Images of a tube tray, which fits within a drawer and holds tubes in slots arranged in rows and columns, are captured to determine characteristics related to the tube tray. By analyzing the images, features of the tubes are determined, providing valuable information in an IVD environment in which a sample handler is processing the tubes. Each row of the tube tray is encoded to allow for detection of a new row moving into focus of cameras. The cameras capture an image of the tube tray, and the image is stored in a memory buffer. When the next row moves into focus, a subsequent image is taken and stored. The result is a series of images providing multi-perspective views of the rows of the tube tray. The images are analyzed to determine characteristics of the tubes, which are utilized by the sample handler in processing the tubes.
