Remote Supervisory Monitoring Patents (Class 702/188)
  • Patent number: 8630722
Abstract: A system and method of managing therapy provided to patients in an institution. The system monitors all aspects of the medication delivery to a patient, as well as other information related to the patient, such as values of vital signs, laboratory results and patient factors such as history, diagnosis, allergies and the like. The system includes one or more databases of information, including institutionally developed rules, guidelines and protocol representing the best medical practices of the institution. The system provides alerts and/or recommendations based on the application of the rules to the information being monitored, and alerts care givers accordingly, providing for dynamic adjustment of the patient's therapy. The system also monitors the status of the alerts, and if no action is taken in a selected period of time, may escalate the priority of the alert and/or halt the delivery of medication to the patient until the alert is resolved.

  • Patent number: 8620343
Abstract: Inexpensive position sensing devices that allow widespread use and availability of position information are disclosed. One embodiment of the position-sensing device acquires, down converts and extracts raw position data from position signals. Then, the position-sensing device wirelessly transmits the raw position data to a position-computing device, which converts the raw position data into the position of the device. The position-computing device can also receive auxiliary information from auxiliary sensors, and perform analyzes based on the position and the auxiliary information. The position-computing device can re-transmit the position and auxiliary information to a remote site for further analysis and/or central storage. The remote site can also download information to the position-computing device. The position-computing device can also control an actuator to perform an operation.

Abstract: A first amplifier is arranged to receive a first signal from a first bus terminal. A second amplifier is configured to receive a second signal from a second bus terminal. An inverter input of an inverter is coupled to the output of the first amplifier. An input or inputs of an analog-to-digital converter are coupled to an inverter output of the inverter and the output of the second amplifier. The analog-to-digital converter is capable of producing a digital signal representative of the signals received from the first bus terminal and the second bus terminal. A data processor is capable of receiving an output of the analog-to-digital converter. The data processor is configured to apply one or more frequency domain transforms to the digital signal. The data processor identifies a circuit location of the ground fault or degraded isolation, a type of ground fault, or both based on the application of the frequency domain transform.

Abstract: Diverting condition storage unit 15 stores diverting conditions describing conditions for hardware configurations and software configurations. Monitoring data storage unit 13 stores monitoring data on the hardware configurations and the software configurations on monitored devices. Monitoring setting information storage unit stores monitoring setting information on the monitored devices. By referencing monitoring data and diverting conditions, first setting-diverting unit judges if monitoring setting information set in a monitored device may be diverted as monitoring setting information on another monitored device and outputs the result to a management terminal. The system administrator diverts the monitoring setting information among multiple monitored devices based on judgment result.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an automatic particle measurement cart and an automatic particle measurement system for clean room and a measurement method thereof. The automatic measurement cart includes an automatic piloting device, which guides the cart to move along a pre-set path. The automatic piloting device includes a reading head, which recognizes the pres-set detective path and detects multiple pre-set measurement points. The cart moves along the detective path. A measurement device measures particles at the measurement points. A data processing device receives particle data measured by the measurement device and provides output according to a pre-set rule. With the above manner, the present invention can automatically measure clean room particles at a given site so as to reduce human labor involved and improve the preciseness of measurement result.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a communications network having a plurality of wired communication cables is characterized by a central computer and a plurality of remote sensors connected with the cables at spaced locations for sampling data at the locations and providing an indication when a fault occurs. The central computer transmits measurement request signals to each remote sensor. In response to a request, the remote sensor samples data on the network at the unit location and sends a measurement of the sample to the central computer where the measurement is compared with baseline measurements for the location. If the measured data from the unit deviates from the baseline measurement, a fault is indicated.
