Patent number: 11855813Abstract: The nonlinearity of power amplifiers (PAs) has been a severe constraint in performance of modern wireless transceivers. This problem is even more challenging for the fifth generation (5G) cellular system since 5G signals have extremely high peak to average power ratio. Nonlinear equalizers that exploit both deep neural networks (DNNs) and Volterra series models are provided to mitigate PA nonlinear distortions. The DNN equalizer architecture consists of multiple convolutional layers. The input features are designed according to the Volterra series model of nonlinear PAs. This enables the DNN equalizer to effectively mitigate nonlinear PA distortions while avoiding over-fitting under limited training data. The non-linear equalizers demonstrate superior performance over conventional nonlinear equalization approaches.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2022Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: The Research Foundation for SUNYInventors: Xiaohua Li, Robert Thompson

Patent number: 11852011Abstract: Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method for generating a detailed heterogeneities map of a main reservoir. Pressure data for multiple wells of a main reservoir is received during a simultaneous field shut-in of the multiple wells. A scaled rate of change of pressure for each well is determined using the pressure data for each well. Rates of change of pressure for the multiple wells are plotted using the scaled rates of change of pressure. Clusters of wells having rates of change of pressure within a threshold difference of other wells in a given cluster are determined based on the plotting. A detailed heterogeneities map of the main reservoir is generated based the clusters of wells. The heterogeneities map defines heterogeneous regions. Each region contains a set of wells assigned to the heterogeneous region based on the wells having similar rates of change of pressure.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2021Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: Saudi Arabian Oil CompanyInventors: Babatope Kayode, Nora Hamidaddin

Actions associated with the components are identified, and used to identify API calls that are required to be made to implement the actions. Corresponding APIs are aggregated to create a back-end for front-end (BFF) layer for the codified user experience definition. A pattern is created for a front-end layer for the codified user experience design based on the FSM. A code generator builds components to the objects of the codified user experience design to generate precompiled code, which is packaged with a node.js layer to allow local runtime. The generated precompiled code is versioned and placed in the user experience design repository.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2022Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Dell Products, L.P.Inventors: Patrick East, Sumedh Sathaye, Jennifer Minarik, Reut Kovetz, Kelly Lisai

Patent number: 11816404Abstract: Monte Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo integration are simple numerical recipes for solving complicated integration problems, such as valuating financial derivatives or synthesizing photorealistic images by light transport simulation. A drawback of a straightforward application of (quasi-)Monte Carlo integration is the relatively slow convergence rate that manifests as high error of Monte Carlo estimators. Neural control variates may be used to reduce error in parametric (quasi-)Monte Carlo integration—providing more accurate solutions in less time. A neural network system has sufficient approximation power for estimating integrals and is efficient to evaluate. The efficiency results from the use of a first neural network that infers the integral of the control variate and using normalizing flows to model a shape of the control variate.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2020Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: NVIDIA CorporationInventors: Thomas Müller, Fabrice Pierre Armand Rousselle, Alexander Georg Keller, Jan Novák

Patent number: 11815945Abstract: Element simulation is described using a machine learning system parallelized across a plurality of processors. A multi-element system is partitioned into a plurality of partitions, each partition including a subset of real elements included within the partition and ghost elements outside the partition influencing the real elements. For each processor of the plurality of processors, force vectors are predicted for the real elements within the multi-element system by making a backward pass through a graph neural network (GNN) having multiple layers and parallelized across multiple processors, the predicting including adjusting neighbor distance separately for each of the multiple layers of the GNN. A physical phenomenon is described based on the force vectors.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2020Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Mordechai Kornbluth, Jonathan Mailoa

Patent number: 11816610Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for network resource allocations. An example method may include receiving performance data associated with customer premise devices and nodes. The method may include determining a first amount of technician resources allocated to a first geographic area. The method may include determining a second amount of technician resources allocated to a second geographic area. The method may include determining a first score indicative of a first predicted demand for technician resources associated with the first geographic area, and a second score indicative of a second predicted demand for technician resources associated with the second geographic area. The method may include causing a third amount of technician resources to be allocated to the first geographic area and a fourth amount of technician resources to be allocated to the second geographic area.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2020Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Cox Communications, Inc.Inventors: Shane Yates, Joseph Keller, Christian Welin, Alexis Hwang, Jon Rambo, Brian Stublen

Patent number: 11808472Abstract: A system a method for controlling an operation of HVAC system is provided. The system comprises at least one processor; and memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to receive data indicative of the operation of the HVAC system and optimize a cost function to reduce a difference between a full thermal state of the conditioned environment simulated from the received data based on a physical model of airflow including a partial differential equation (PDE) and a thermal state of the conditioned environment reconstructed by an observer using a reduced order model (ROM) of airflow including an ordinary differential equation (ODE) from values of the full thermal state at a set of locations, wherein optimization of the cost function is a multivariable optimization of a structure of the observer and a structure of the ODE.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2021Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories Inc.Inventors: Saleh Nabi, Ankush Chakrabarty, Mouhacine Benosman, Sanjana VijayShankar

Patent number: 11810400Abstract: A method of assessing an operator emotional state and sending an alert based on the emotional state. The method includes tracking during a time period, using at least one sensor, one of an image sensor data, voice data or a biometric parameter of an operator. Determining, using a controller that is operatively connected to at least one sensor, a probability of a likely emotional state from a list of emotional states of an operator based on one of the image sensor data, voice data or the biometric parameter. Comparing, using a processor, the probability of one of the likely emotional states of the operator with a baseline emotional state of the operator. Sending, using the controller, an alert if most likely emotional state deviates from the baseline emotional state by a predetermined threshold.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2022Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: GE Aviation Systems LimitedInventors: Stefan Alexander Schwindt, Alexander S.
