Abstract: Techniques for making preliminary authorization determinations based on partial contextual information are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, an API receives an authorization request and partial contextual information associated with the authorization request. The API submits the partial contextual information to an authorization service, without submitting complete contextual information associated with the authorization request. The API receives, from the authorization service, a preliminary authorization response based on the partial contextual information. The preliminary authorization includes one of (a) denial of the authorization request and (b) non-denial of the authorization request.

Abstract: The preference-based data collection and discounting system and methods herein collect consumer product preferences and track the buying habits of a consumer and reward consumers through discounts. The buying habits may be interrogated by a database of one or more algorithms, which will result in a collated database about consumer buying habits. This metadata may be used by vendors to make marketing assumptions that will influence a consumer's future purchase decisions. Consumers directly input and update their preferences as well.

In some implementations, a mobile device selectively displays displayable messages associated with beacons corresponding to specific locations that the mobile device visits. The mobile device can extract identifiers from wireless messages from beacons and determine whether to display a message corresponding to a beacon based on filter parameters of a user and data indicating characteristics of a property where a beacon is located. The displayable messages corresponding to beacons can be messages users who associated with the beacons have previously designated for presentation upon detection of the beacons. The mobile device can display the displayable message for a beacon while the mobile device is a detection range to receive the wireless message from the beacon.

Abstract: A method to integrate location signals received from indoor positioning systems in order to generate an interactive dataset-based map is disclosed. The method comprises receiving an identifier and location information from a consumer device. A first control plane is implemented in the central server to control whether or not the content is to be distributed to the first store server and whether or not the content is to be distributed to the second store server. Abstract: A server network includes a central server and a plurality of store servers. Each of the store servers is connected to one or more receipt printers. The central server selects one or more store servers to which image data of an image to be added to a receipt are distributed, and transmits the image data along with condition data to the selected store servers, which are then distributed to receipt printers. Receipt printers that received the image data print one or more receipts with the additional image upon the conditions being met, and transmit content data of each printed receipt to the corresponding store server. Each of the selected store servers generates a receipt issue log based on the content data, and transmits receipt issue logs that accumulated therein to the central server. The central server calculates an amount of exposure of the additional image based on receipt issue logs.

The portable device has a display system having a display screen configured to display formatted image data. The barcode information is used to manipulate the image capture system such that the display screen displays a light simulated barcode.

Abstract: A method for matching insurance products to orphan policyholders may enable an insurance company to automatically identify sales value and propensity to sales of a list of orphan policyholders, among other characteristics, by using collaborative filtering techniques and learning algorithms. The method may further enable automated marketing and sales and may reduce internal costs which may be further transferred to customers as a discount and provide a competitive edge within the insurance industry.

Abstract: Provided are a method and system for pushing a mobile application. The method comprises: determining more than one mobile application category with the highest relevance to a mobile application category to which a mobile application designated by a user belongs; according to the pre-generated weight value of the mobile application, calculating and determining the degree of recommendation of each mobile application under the mobile application category; and according to the principle of high to low of the determined degrees of recommendation of each mobile application under the mobile application category, selecting a preset recommendation result number of the mobile applications as a recommendation result and pushing same to a user. According to the technical solution provided in the present invention, the diversity of recommended mobile applications can be effectively improved.

Abstract: A document management system includes a document gateway disposed between a document provider and a printer. When the document gateway receives a print-ready document from the document provider, the document gateway determines whether to cause the document to be uploaded to a cloud-based document repository or to be printed to yield a hardcopy document. This determination is made based on an indication from a document consumer and using a consumer device such as a smartphone or customer card, that the document consumer wishes a digital copy of the document. If the document is uploaded, the consumer benefits from having documents uploaded to a centralized repository, while the vendor benefits from obtaining consumer profile information at negligible acquisition cost. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Transaction terminal malicious software is detected by monitoring calls of a first process to identify attempts by the first process to read memory used by a second process. The first and second processes are different from each other and are executed by at least one data processor forming part of a transaction terminal system having at least one transaction terminal. Thereafter, it is determined that the memory used by the second process comprises patterns indicative of sensitive financial or identification information. In response, at least one corrective action is initiated to prevent use of the financial or identification information. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer readable storage to implement a social networking game that enables players to scan QR codes (or other identifying markers) and transmit the items scanned to a server that determines the physical location of the player. Players can play a game where they attempt to find and scan as many QR codes as possible. In an embodiment, the QR codes can also be used for crowd control. People in areas that are overly populated can be incentivized to move to lower traffic areas by offering them incentives for reporting to the low traffic area.

A graphical depiction of the offer is displayed on a map on the notification device.

Once the purchase associated with the offer is made, the transaction information may be processed by the system, such that, the credit and debit associated with the purchase are transmitted to the transaction account and the merchant. The transaction information may be further processed to determine whether the particular transaction is eligible for a reward. Where the transaction is eligible for a reward, the credit and debit associated with reward are transmitted to the transaction account and the sponsoring entity. Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for providing a digital receipt to a consumer upon tender of payment to a merchant through the use of a proxy payment card in a financial transaction. The proxy payment card can be associated with multiple financial accounts (e.g., accounts associated with credit cards, debit cards, or gift cards). The digital receipt is automatically received at a personal computing device of the consumer in response to the financial transaction being charged to a financial account associated with the proxy payment card. The digital receipt includes information indicative of the financial transaction. The digital receipt can also include one or more interactive components that allow the consumer to interact with the transaction (and/or merchant) subsequent to transmission of the receipt, such as adding a tip, providing feedback, redeeming a promotion reward, tracking loyalty reward points, or reviewing transaction records of past and present transactions.

Abstract: A table-side device is seamlessly and securely integrated to an existing customer POS system within an operating environment, irrespective of the particular operating characteristics of the POS system. In one embodiment, this is achieved by providing a middleware component that executes in the POS system, preferably in the form of an agent that interfaces each table-side device to the POS system for one of: order entry and update, check management, and payment handling. The POS agent is associated with a plug-in component, which is uniquely associated with the particular POS system. The POS agent preferably includes a communication interface through which table-side devices issue requests to the POS system through the plug-in component. The POS device sends the received bundle ID back to the aggregator server and, if the bundle ID matches the expected ID, then payment processing is initiated according to preferences outlined in the transaction information.

A mobile electronic device with mobile self checkout software thereon may record and analyze ambient noise to determine when a customer is in a checkout line as well as to track the customer's progress through the checkout line. The software may provide detailed data about the shopping and checkout experience. This information may be correlated to customer satisfaction and used identify particular strengths and weaknesses in the shopping experience offered by a store.
