  • Patent number: 11610222
Abstract: Leads may be generated for content sponsors based on expressions of interest by users, the users being users of an online system. These leads typically require time or expense from a sponsor to follow up on the lead. The online system scores leads for sponsors to prioritize responding to the generated leads. The scores may include a purchase capacity score and a purchase intent score. The purchase capacity score estimates a user's ability to spend an amount specified by the sponsor for the product, and the purchase intent score estimates a user's likelihood to convert or be interested in the sponsor's product. The scores may be combined to provide a single lead quality score for a user that obscures the source of the online system's prediction to the sponsor.

Abstract: Upon selection of an item, several acquisition options may be available for a user to acquire that item. The attributes of these options vary based on price, delivery speed, and so forth. Differences between a reference option and other options are determined. These differences are used to determine a caption identifier. Caption output data is determined based the caption identifier and presented within a user interface with a corresponding control. The control allows the user to acquire the item using the corresponding option. The caption provides the user with a concise and clear reason as to why a particular option is beneficial to the user. For example, a “Willing to wait?” caption shows an acquisition option for which the item is available at lower cost but longer delivery time than the reference option. In the new iteration, a campaign that was previously over-delivered is classified as either (a) over-delivered due to incorrect pacing or (b) over-delivered due to auction experiment design. After the delayed processing, the new auction experiment iteration is conducted with a mitigating action taken on the previously over-delivered campaign if the campaign is classified as (b) over-delivered due to auction experiment design. For example, the mitigating action can include removing the campaign from a subsequent iteration of the experiment, or the experiment can be redesigned. Abstract: Various embodiments request discount offers on a mobile device within a store. In one embodiment, the mobile device detects it is being shaken and in response, sends a request for a discount offer to a server. The mobile device determines its location within the store. The mobile device receives a discount offer based on the location of the mobile device within the store and information associated with the mobile device. The discount offer is displayed and feedback is communicated to the server based on the detected device movement. The feedback is an indicator that indicates acceptance, rejection or a request for a different discount offer. The detected device movement include at least one of motion intensity, direction of motion and number of shakes. If the motion intensity of being shaken is greater than a predetermined threshold, an indication of objection is emitted.
