Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content providing, searching and/or hosting systems supported by or configured with devices, servers and/or platforms. The disclosed systems and methods provide a novel framework for performing automatic detection of surfaces in video frames resulting in the creation of a seamless in-video ad experience for viewing users. The disclosed framework operates by leveraging available surfaces in videos to show advertisements in compliance with publisher protection, compliance and policy in a fully automatic, end-to-end solution. The disclosed framework evidences a streamlined, automatic and computationally efficient process(es) that modifies digital content at the surface level within the frames of the content in compliance with the digital rights of the owners of the content being merged via the disclosed augmentation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for recommending concepts from a first concept set in response to user selection of a first concept Ci by performing a natural language processing (NLP) analysis comparison of vector representations of user concepts contained in written content authored by the user and candidate concepts in a first concept set to determine a similarity measure for each candidate concept, and to select therefrom one or more of the candidate concepts for display as recommended concepts which are related to the user concepts contained in written content authored by the user based on the similarity measure between each candidate concept and each user concept.

Abstract: A method of selecting and presenting content based on learned user preferences is provided. The method includes providing a content System including a set of content items organized by genre characterizing the content items, and wherein the set of content items contains microgenre metadata further characterizing the content items. The method also includes receiving search input from the user for identifying desired content items and, in response, presenting a subset of content items to the user. The method further includes receiving content item selection actions from the user and analyzing the microgenre metadata within the selected content items to learn the preferred microgenres of the user. The method includes, in response to receiving subsequent user search input, selecting and presenting content items in an order that portrays as relatively more relevant those content items containing microgenre metadata that more closely match the learned microgenre preferences of the user.

Abstract: Computer-generated feedback directed to whether user speech input meets subjective criteria is provided through the evaluation of multiple speaking traits. Initially, discrete instances of various multiple speaking traits are detected within the user speech input provided. Such multiple speaking traits include vocal fry, tag questions, uptalk, filler sounds and hedge words. Audio constructs indicative of individual instances of speaking traits are isolated and identified from appropriate samples. Speaking trait detectors then utilize such audio constructs to identify individual instances of speaking traits within the spoken input. The resulting quantities are scored based on reference to predetermined threshold quantities. The individual speaking trait scores are then amalgamated utilizing a weighting that is derived based on empirical relationships between those speaking traits and the criteria for which the user's speech input is being evaluated.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for providing promotions based on consumer interaction data are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include a system and/or apparatus including circuitry configured to provide electronic user interfaces (or impressions) of promotions to consumer devices and receive consumer interaction data indicating consumer interaction with the impressions. The system may be further configured to determine a selected promotion for providing in a subsequent impression based on the consumer interaction data. For example, the system may be configured to determine a promotion score of available promotion based on consumer interaction data indicating consumer responses to the available impressions. The promotion score may provide a rating by which available promotions may be selected and may be determined based on various criteria discussed herein to provide selected promotions to consumer devices.

A bid management system generates an input based on features of a content item and. The bid management system uses the input to determine acceptance probability score distributions for a set of candidate users. The bid management system uses the acceptance probability score distributions along with user attributes describing the set of candidate users along with campaign parameters to determine a subset of the candidate users to receive an offer to view the content item along with bid values to offer to each candidate user.

Abstract: A system and method for authenticating a user's computing device that has submitted a request for the transfer of funds from the user's account at a financial institution. An authentication server at the financial institution compares currently received identifying data to previously stored identifying data, then makes a determination as to whether to approve the request for the transfer of funds. The identifying data may include a snapshot of apps or of lists of items installed on the user's computing device.

One or more game features may be adjusted in accordance with the assigned device profile for implementing the online game on the client devices. The adjustable game features may include frame rate, level of detail of rendering, level of 3D graphics, level of collision effects, animation type, gameplay available for user interaction, gameplay content for user interaction, communication mode, physics effects available for display, level of artificial intelligence, and/or any other features of the online game.

Abstract: An online system trains a content selection model based on a selected subset of presented content items as well as a sampled set of content items. The content selection model is configured to receive a set of features characterizing a user-content item pair and output a likelihood that the user will interact with the content item. The sampled set of content items may include content items that were not selected for display based on their likelihoods in addition to those that were selected, and may represent a wider distribution of user-content item pairs than the selected subset. By incorporating the sampled set of content items as well as the selected subset of content items in the training process, the online system can reduce bias in the content selection process such that content items similar to the unselected subset can also be adequately represented.

Data is received that describes a placement of the digital object on one of the detected surfaces or detected objects and determines properties of the placement. Conditions are associated with the placed digital object, the conditions including data describing properties of the placement, data describing properties of the detected object, and data describing a state of the detected object. The spawning of the digital object is performed in the environment based on the conditions.

In one technique, multiple entity profiles are stored and analyzed to generate training data that is labeled indicating whether a corresponding entity has moved to or moved from a region. Using the machine-learned prediction model, a prediction is made whether, for each entity corresponding to another entity profile, that entity will move to or move from a particular geographic region. Based on multiple predictions, a number of entities that are predicted to move to or move from the particular geographic region is determined. In one novel aspect, a robotic persuasive reference is generated based on a prospect product-service (P_PS) matrix, which is generated based on predictive analysis using DNN model and dynamically obtained feedbacks. In one embodiment, the DNN model is trained with customer personal profiles against associated PS revenues for each customer data set. In one embodiment, the predictive analysis uses a decision tree classifier. In one embodiment, the computer system detects one or more predefined triggering events comprising feedback information for the robotic persuasive reference and one or more predefined lifetime events, updates the P_PS matrix based and the robotic persuasive reference accordingly.
