Abstract: An online concierge system receives multiple images of an item from a first client device associated with a shopper associated with the online concierge system, in which each of the images of the item is captured from a different angle and/or position and the item is included among an inventory of a warehouse associated with a retailer associated with the online concierge system. Based in part on the images of the item, the online concierge system generates a three-dimensional image of the item, in which the three-dimensional image of the item includes a dimension of the item and/or a color of the item. The online concierge system then sends the three-dimensional image of the item to a second client device associated with a customer of the online concierge system, in which a perspective of the three-dimensional image is modifiable within a display area of the second client device.

Abstract: A virtual salesperson system and method for tablet computers such as Apple's iPad can be used by the customer (as opposed to most applications which are for the dealer, or on a central kiosk) to provide the customer a tour of a showroom and each vehicle, highlighting key features and other content at the discretion of the OEM, such as videos tours conducted by their spokesperson. In at least one embodiment, the customer can also search inventory, potentially at this dealer and other ‘friendly’ dealerships with whom this dealer has a trading relationship. Other sales tools such as build and price, payment estimation, etc are available as well.

Abstract: A cloud marketplace includes a network of data centers that collectively allow users to search for and purchase products, including applications and extensions to applications. Each data center supports a marketplace module that executes on computing resources to offer users the products and receive and send product metadata descriptive of the products. The marketplace module in each data center, on receiving user feedback related to one of the products, updates the product metadata with the user feedback, and updates a database in the data center using database management system protocols. The marketplace module also passes the user feedback to an agent module within the data center that is separate from the database management system. The agent module passes the user feedback to agent modules of other data centers so that the user feedback can be synchronized across data centers before the database management systems of the data centers synchronize with each other.

Abstract: Examples provide catchment modeling for identifying destination locations eligible for last mile delivery from source locations, such as a store or fulfillment center. The catchment modeling system divides a catchment area associated with the source location into a plurality of geohash blocks within a polygon fence. The size of the geohash blocks varies relative to proximity of each geohash block to a fence point within a polygon fence. The plurality of blocks includes a set of inclusion blocks within the predetermined distance from the source location and/or a set of exclusion blocks exceeding the predetermined distance from the source location. Data compression via polygon merging is performed. The compressed data is cached for utilization during catchment delivery eligibility determinations. If a destination address is within the set of inclusion address or absent from the set of exclusion addresses, the destination is eligible for delivery from the source to the destination.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for generating summaries of unconsumed portions of an ordered series of media assets, customized for multiple users. A media guidance application may determine that a given media asset of an ordered series is to be collectively consumed by a first user and a second user. A first portion of an ordered series, that both the first user and the second user have not yet consumed, is identified together with a second portion of the ordered series that the first user has consumed but the second user has not yet consumed. A custom summary including a detailed summary of the first portion (e.g., a two minute summary) and less detailed summary of the second portion (e.g., a one minute summary) is generated.

Abstract: Data-analysis-based processing facilitates providing augmented-reality object location assistance. The processing includes obtaining a user-request related to facilitating locating an object of interest, and identifying a target area containing the object. Further, the process includes providing augmentation data for rendering as an overlay on a user-device to assist in directing the user to the target area containing the object. The augmentation data being provided is dynamically changed as the user-device is moved in relation to the target area containing the object to assist the user in locating the object within the target area.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides system, methods, and computer program products for predicting and detecting anomalies in a subsystem of a system. An example method may comprise (a) determining a first plurality of tags that are indicative of an operational performance of the subsystem. The tags can be obtained from (i) a plurality of sensors in the subsystem and (ii) a plurality of sensors in the system that are not in the subsystem. The method may further comprise (b) processing measured values of the first plurality of tags using an autoencoder trained on historical values of the first plurality of tags to generate estimated values of the first plurality of tags; (c) determining whether a difference between the measured values and estimated values meets a threshold; and (d) transmitting an alert that indicates that the subsystem is predicted to experience an anomaly if the difference meets the threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods for encrypting data are described herein. For example, the system may receive, from an application associated with a provider system, a request for a delivery token. The request may include an address and an identifier of a distribution system. The system may determine a distributor key for decrypting delivery tokens for the distribution system. The system may also identify an encryption key for encrypts delivery tokens, where the encryption key corresponds to the distributor key. The system may generate the delivery token, including the address, using the encryption key. The system may then transmit the delivery token to the application associated with the provider system.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method selects an account associated with an application that is displaying content. A plurality of contact options is retrieved where the contact options in the plurality of contact options are able to receive pull notifications for the account. The method ranks the plurality of contact options based on information associated with the account and generates a plurality of pull notification options using the ranking of the plurality of contact options. The plurality of pull notification options is output to the application for display on the application. A pull notification option in the plurality of pull notification options is associated with information to cause an associated contact option to be contacted upon selection of the pull notification option.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to automatically determining customer information in response to detecting that a customer's mobile device is located at a retail location. A mobile device of the customer may detect a communication from a wireless communication beacon, and may send a customer ID to a backend server. Upon receiving the customer ID, the backend server may access customer information, and transmit it to a server of the retail location. The server may, in turn, cause a customer mobile device in the retail location to display the customer information, thus facilitating effective and efficient customer service. With the customer's permission, upon detecting the customer's mobile device, customer information may be pushed to a salesperson's device or information (e.g., insurance quote or claim information; new vehicle financing, feature, or review information; or other product or service information) may be pushed to the customer's mobile device.

Abstract: A method of analyzing images is performed at a computer system that is in communication with an image acquisition device having an image sensor. The method includes receiving a reference template that includes a sync region and an inspection region that is located at an offset from the sync region. The method also includes acquiring a continuous sequence of image frames from the image sensor and storing each of the image frames in a buffer within the computer system's memory. The method further includes, for each image frame in the buffer, determining whether the image frame includes a sub-region matching the sync region. The method also includes, in accordance with a determination that the image frame includes a sub-region matching the sync region, capturing an inspection region within the image frame at the offset from the sub-region, and storing the captured inspection region to a non-volatile portion of the memory.

For example, the type ambiguity detection system may identify a plurality of search queries previously submitted by users of the electronic catalog, determine a plurality of browse nodes that are frequently selected after submitting the search queries, determine items that consumers frequently view or purchase in connection with the search queries, input the items into a classifier, receive an output predicting a proper item type or browse node for a given item, and initiate an action in response to determining ambiguity.

Abstract: Systems, devices, methods, and program products for enhancing structure walkthroughs are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method includes: monitoring a current location of an interested party (IP) device utilizing data collected by the IP device during a walkthrough of a structure having a structure representative (SR); detecting, based on the current location of the IP device, when the IP device is brought into proximity of a first SR-marked location included in a plurality of structure SR-marked locations; and in response to detecting that the IP device has been brought into proximity of the first SR-marked location, (i) identifying a first SR-created message corresponding to the first SR-marked location and contained in a location-referenced message set; and (ii) generating or causing generation of an SR message notification on the IP device, the SR message notification presenting or offering to present the first SR-created message to the interested party.

Abstract: Disclosed are one or more embodiments for a unique and personalized experience for a user interacting with an electronic commerce site by identifying user-preferred item attributes using supervised machine learning and presenting items to the user in an arrangement that is based on the identified item attributes. A shopping mission is determined according to user interactions with an electronic commerce site. The shopping mission is applied to an attribute prediction model that is trained to detect user-preferred item attributes for items included the item category and estimate a likelihood that an item containing a particular attribute will be purchased or interacted with during the interactions with the electronic commerce site.

Abstract: In an example, one or more leaf category specific unsupervised statistical language model (SLM) models are trained using sample item listings corresponding to each of one or more leaf categories and structured data about the one or more leaf categories, the training including calculating an expected perplexity and a standard deviation for item listing titles. A perplexity for a title of a particular item listing is calculated and a perplexity deviation signal is generated based on a difference between the perplexity for the title of the particular item listing and the expected perplexity for item listing titles in a leaf category of the particular item listing and based on the standard deviation for item listing titles in the leaf category of the particular item listing. A gradient boosting machine (GBM) fuses the perplexity deviation signal with one or more other signals to generate a miscategorization classification score corresponding to the particular item listing.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a system, computer program product, and method for determining missing values in respective data records with an explanatory analysis to provide a context of the determined values. Such method includes receiving a dataset including incomplete data records that are missing predictors and complete data records. A model is trained with the complete data records and candidate predictors for the missing predictors are generated. A predictor importance value is generated for each candidate predictor and the candidate predictors that have a predictor importance value in excess of a first threshold value are promoted. Respective promoted candidate predictors are inserted into the respective incomplete data records, thereby creating tentative data records. The tentative data records are injected into the model, a fit value is determined for each of the tentative data records, and a tentative data record with a fit value exceeding a second threshold value is selected.

However, asset owners generally wish to remain anonymous yet benefit from third party knowledge of their ownership. Accordingly, a system and method of providing asset ownership brokering to derive benefit without providing confidential information to other users and/or enterprises is provided.

The system generates demand scenarios by applying a stochastic process that factors in historical information, future goals, and uncertainty in demand. The system generates supply scenarios indicating supply over time for the resource by applying a stochastic process that factors in factors relating to quantity of supply units of the resource and uncertainty in supply. The system identifies a supply scenario that minimizes costs relating to delivery of supply at times other than the times at which supply is need to meet demand based on the demand scenarios. The supply scenario represents the capacity plan.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for facilitating affiliate link generation. A user enables the system by identifying a webpage on an affiliate web site. The system performs an initial assessment of the page to extract webpage information, which is compared to information stored in a database. If the extracted information matches stored information, a record of the webpage is displayed and an affiliate link is dynamically generated for immediate use. If the extracted information does not match stored information, a new record of the webpage is created. If the webpage contains product-specific data, a product-specific record is stored. If the webpage does not contain product-specific data, a non-product record is stored. An affiliate link is then dynamically created. The new record of the product and dynamically created affiliate link is added to the database for immediate use.

Abstract: Methods and systems are configured for tracking content represented in a resource. A modified version of structure data of a resource that includes at least one element is received. Each element represents content of the resource in the structure data. Each element includes a portion of the structure data that defines the content. Data specifying a target element of the structure data is received. A plurality of locators for the target element are obtained. A locator of the plurality is derived as a function of a frequency that one or both of attributes and classes of the target element appear in the structure data and includes a subset of the attributes and the classes, the subset uniquely identifying the target element. The plurality of locators including the locator are applied to a modified version of the structure data to extract a modified version of the target element.

Abstract: A method for planning deployment of image sensors may include determining a location of a store shelf within a retail store and obtaining a first coverage parameter corresponding to a first product type and a second coverage parameter corresponding to a second product type. The method may also include accessing a database to determine a first height of products of the first product type and a second height of products of the second product type, and determining a position for placing a camera configured to capture images of at least a portion of the store shelf by analyzing the location of the store shelf, the first coverage parameter, the second coverage parameter, the first height, and the second height. The method may further include providing, to a user interface of a user device, information relating to the determined position of the camera.

Abstract: A method for using an Augmented Reality (AR) device for processing transactions initiated at another device. The method includes acquiring, via an AR device, an image of a display of a user device. The method includes determining, based on image analysis of the image, that the user device displays an interactive transaction element for a transaction between the user device and a server. The method includes communicating with a server, that provides the interactive transaction element, to move functionality of the interactive transaction element from the user device to the AR device. The method includes generating a new interactive transaction element providing access to the transaction at the server. The method also includes providing access to the new interactive transaction element that is visually projected via the AR device.

Abstract: Techniques are described that enable a user to create a collection of content posts on a social networking system. In some cases, a social networking system receives multiple content posts to be shared, and shares the multiple content posts with a first group of user accounts. The social networking system receives a request to create a collection of one or more content posts of the multiple content posts, where the request includes a descriptor associated with the collection. The social networking system generates the collection of the one or more content posts including the descriptor, and provides the collection to a second group of user accounts.

Abstract: At an artificial intelligence system, a baseline set of informational content elements pertaining to an item for presentation to one or more potential item consumers is identified. One or more optimization iterations are implemented. In a particular iteration, a data set comprising interaction records of a target audience with the baseline set and with one or more variants of the baseline set is collected. Using the data set as input to a machine learning model, effectiveness metrics of the different informational elements are determined. A particular content element set to be presented to an audience is identified using the effectiveness metrics.
