Abstract: A system and method for electronically sharing and purchasing memorabilia and merchandise with real-time social networking features are provided. The system allows users to access, via a web-based platform, items of memorabilia and/or merchandise, to exchange and share information relating to such items, and to purchase such items. The system also includes a real-time comment platform which integrates with third-party social networking platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, etc.), and automatically publishes comments from the platform of the system to such third-party systems. Additionally, the system automatically generates comment identifiers (e.g., hashtags, etc.) that are specific to an item of memorabilia/merchandise, and automatically publishes the identifiers to one or more of the third-party social networking platforms. Still further, the system automatically, in real time, gathers comments posted on such external systems and integrates same into comments posted on the system.

Abstract: A dish rating and management (DRM) system is provided that operates as a “closed-loop” system to maintain a database of dishes and associated numeric ratings. A user inputs selection criteria and is presented with dishes and associated ratings. The selection criteria include dish names, ratings, ingredients, and other criteria. The DRM system performs cross-reference dish discovery functions to establish a relationship between branded names and generic names to facilitate dish discovery by the user. Once the user selects a dish, the system processes an order for the selected dish that causes an order to be placed with a food provider that provides the selected dish. After the user has received the selected dish, the system queries the user for a numeric rating for the ordered dish. The database is updated with the numeric dish rating and the system provides a reward to the user for rating the dish.

Abstract: The embodiments in this disclosure include a system for receiving search requests for one or more items from a client device having access to a local database that stores primary catalogs containing items of contracted entities. If the items are not found in the primary catalogs, the system may be configured to execute an API for processing the search request by routing the search request to a proxy vendor computer in a cloud network. The cloud network may be configured to store vendor master records for one or more non-contracted entities. The proxy vendor computer can conduct a text search of secondary catalogs associated with non-contracted entities, and can transmit search results to the client device for the requested items. The items may correspond to one or more vendor master records associated with a non-contracted entity and may have a matching entry in one or more of the secondary catalogs.

Abstract: Systems and methods that access an online networked resource using a locator are disclosed. A first item of content on the networked resource is identified. A trigger rule comprising keywords and a sentiment classifier is accessed. A neural network, including input, hidden, and output layers, is used to assign a sentiment classification to the first item of content. The trigger rule, the sentiment classification, and identified keywords, are used to determine whether response content is to be posted to the online networked resource. In response to determining, using the trigger rule, the assigned sentiment classification, and keywords identified in the first item of content, that response content is to be posted to the online networked resource, the sentiment classification and identified keywords are used to select and/or generate a second item of content, and the second item of content is enabled to be posted to the online networked resource.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system includes a computing device providing a computing environment including a number of user accounts, where each of the user accounts is assigned specified privileges to execute particular commands or programs, receiving a request to temporarily escalate privileges for one of the user accounts during a specified duration, where the request includes an identifier of the user account, requested privileges, and the specified duration, granting the requested privileges for the specified duration in conjunction with specific restrictions on one or more prohibited activities that are normally permitted for user accounts with the requested privileges, monitoring, during the specified duration, for any indication that the user account has attempted a prohibited activity, detecting an indication that the user account attempted one of the prohibited activities, and initiating an automated remediation corresponding to the indication.

Abstract: A method and system for determining links for a linking page are provided. For each linking page of a plurality of linking pages, a similarity score between each linking page and each linked-to page is generated. Each linked-to page is associated with each linking page. Based on the similarity scores generated for each linking page, a set of linked-to pages for each linking page is identified. An importance score for the linking page is also generated. Identities of the plurality of linking pages, identities of the set of linked-to pages identified for each linking page, and the importance score for each linking page are stored as input. Based on the input, for each linking page, a subset of the set of linked-to pages identified for each linking page is assigned by a model.

Abstract: A computer-implemented self-learning method to generate a personalized virtual aisle via a remote acquisition mechanism associated with an entity comprises the step of accessing, using an online structure, an image database to retrieve a plurality of images. Each of the plurality of images represents an item offered by the entity. The method includes using the online structure to scale each of the plurality of images in proportion to an actual size of the item being represented by the images. The method comprises creating, using the online structure and a set of rules, a plurality of aisle blocks. The method includes dynamically grouping the plurality of aisle blocks based on each of a historical record of a patron and the set of rules to create the virtual aisle. The method comprises displaying the virtual aisle on an output accessible to the patron.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to use of RF and WiFi control in a fan device to control fan status and speed and/or fan light on/off status and intensity. A customer premises includes a WiFi router through which WiFi communications can be sent from a WiFi capable device, e.g., a cell phone, to control the fan device and its various functions. While WiFi control is via a WiFi router in the home, the control signals normally do not traverse the Internet or another external network. In addition to WiFi control, control of the fan device can be via an RF control device, e.g., a wall mounted controller. In some embodiments, the fan device reports its state and/or changes in state due to received commands to a server, and the server generates a recommended normal control schedule and an away control schedule and then uses the schedules to control fan device.

Abstract: In this patent, a smart consulting process is established to improve workflow and human classification of images. A key innovative aspect is the process for selecting an optimal consultant for an image. Such a process may improve human image classification, such as diagnostic radiology. Furthermore, such a process may improve education to more novice imagers. A modified workflow is established where users have general and specific consult pools. Additionally, a modified relative value unit (RVU) system is created to appropriately compensate users for the modified workflow, which is established.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for improved linking of customers with suppliers in a software-as-a-service system based on community supplier information. The techniques include the system suggesting to customers holding customer accounts with the system that the customers establish customer-supplier links between private supplier records of the customers and supplier accounts of suppliers. Unconventionally, the system makes the suggestions based on matching private supplier records of the customers with community master supplier records of the suppliers. The system stores the community master supplier records based on private supplier records in the community of customers that are associated together by the system according to their similarity. Once a private supplier record of a record is matched to a community master supplier record for a supplier, the system suggests to the customer that the customer link the matched private supplier record to a supplier account of the supplier.

Abstract: Techniques and architectures for implementing a team of virtual assistants are described herein. The team may include multiple virtual assistants that are configured with different characteristics, such as different functionality, base language models, levels of training, visual appearances, personalities, and so on. The characteristics of the virtual assistants may be configured by trainers, end-users, and/or a virtual assistant service. The virtual assistants may be presented to end-users in conversation user interfaces to perform different tasks for the users in a conversational manner. The different virtual assistants may adapt to different contexts. The virtual assistants may additionally, or alternatively, interact with each other to carry out tasks for the users, which may be illustrated in conversation user interfaces.

The user enters the merchant location and a game server generates augmented reality (AR) data for the computing device to use in playing a game at the merchant location. The camera of the computing device captures interior views of the merchant location and a game instance on the computing device uses those images in generation of an AR game at the user computing device related to the merchant. Upon successful completion of the game play, the user receives an incentive or award. A signal is received from a first communication device at a second communication device associated with a computer system. Abstract: In one example, a content catalog system may process a bulk set of errors to prioritize those errors that may benefit from manual review by a human error administrator. A catalog quality management sub-system of the content catalog system may receive an error output describing a catalog error for a product aspect of a product in a content catalog from an error detection module. The catalog quality management sub-system may categorize the catalog error by a degree of human interaction with an error fix determined from an error metric in the error output. The catalog quality management sub-system may apply an error fix to the catalog error based on the degree of human interaction.

Abstract: An identity system for the Internet of Things (IOT) that enables users and machines to identify, authenticate and interact with products and collectibles without relying on a third-party-controlled authentication service. The system includes wireless tamperproof tags coupled to products and an open registry database where a chain of ownership of the items is able to be stored. The open registry enables public access to the item identity and data combined with item registration anonymity.
