Abstract: A computer based method and system for masked data record access are presented in which data masks are applied to sensitive personal information so that non-masked portions of that information can be used in the selection of products, services and service providers for a consumer. In one application the method and system are utilized in the selection of healthcare products, services and providers based on pangenetic (genetic and epigenetic) and non-pangenetic information associated with the consumer.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing targeted content to a patient who has received a prescription for medication. The systems and methods generally provide the content prior to the Point of Sale (POS) of the actual prescription allow patients to review the content and possibly act on it prior to actually obtaining the medication. Depending on embodiment, the content may be provided by a pharmacy at or around the time of dispensing or by a physician at or around the time of prescribing.

In one aspect, the method receives user information including a location and a health condition and determines a health issue that is related to the condition. The generated graphical representations are displayed on a second communication apparatus. A caregiver, a doctor or the like grasps a symptom of the patient and a change of the symptom based on the displayed graphical representations.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method including receiving, from a health care provider client device, an electronic trigger signal, the trigger signal indicating a change in health care information stored in one or more electronic databases associated with the health care provider, obtaining, from the one or more electronic databases and in response to receiving the trigger signal, health care provider information, filtering, using one or more computer-processors, the health care provider information to identify a patient eligible for participation in a patient assistant program, generating a health care product request application for a patient identified as eligible for participation in the patient assistant program, and outputting the health care product request application.

Abstract: Various aspects relate to the development of clinical study (a.k.a. trial) protocols in drug development. Is some settings, the trial development process can be optimized by integrating and receiving feedback from a large number of participants (physicians, researchers, technicians, drug developers, patients, etc.). Some embodiments invoke the combined wisdom of the user population by targeting relevant audiences for feedback and input into clinical study protocol development. User input can be solicited and developed in an open format, allowing the system capture the largest knowledge base regarding protocol development. In some settings, a set of “protocol challenges” are presented by a protocol builder system to a global community of drug developers, scientists, physicians, and patients to develop and identify issues with a clinical study protocol. Protocol challenges can be used to identify the best set of criteria for a given clinical study protocol.

Abstract: The present invention generates a forecast factor indicating an anticipated demand for a medical resource in a medical facility during a selected time period. The invention generates the forecast factor using billing data retrieved from one or more billing data systems wherein the retrieved billing data is from a prior time period that is comparable to the selected time period. The invention may also generate a schedule of the medical resource using the determined forecast factor such that the generated schedule may substantially correspond to the anticipated demand for the medical resource during the selected time period. In addition, the invention may also generate one or more displays of the determined forecast factor to a user and may also receive a user input for selecting and/or modifying the protocol used to determine the forecast factor.

Clinical documents for a patient are obtained. The clinical documents are documents associated with a plurality of care visits by the patient. The clinical documents are analyzed in order to determine importance ratings for the care visits. A timeline is displayed where the timeline includes graphical elements representing the care visits. The graphical elements are displayed on the timeline in accordance with a time of the care visit and the importance rating of the care visit.

Abstract: Methods and reports for presenting genetic information that is patient-specific and relevant to treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, including treatment resistant psychiatric disorders, to aid in patient treatment in a phenotype, genotype or biomarker-specific manner. The methods and reports examine biomarkers for dysfunction of three axes relevant to treating neuropsychiatric disorders and provide interpretive comments to aid in treatment. Combining biomarker information from each of the three axes (the autonomic arousal axis, the emotional valence, attention, reward and executive brain function axis, and the long-term potentiation and long-term depression (LTP-LTD) function axis) provides an unexpectedly comprehensive and effective means for directing treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, including particularly treatment resistant disorders (TRD).

In one embodiment, claims are aggregated into a single file and submitted for payment electronically. If a file level rejection occurs, rejected claims are removed and the single file reformed and resubmitted. This is repeated as necessary until the file is accepted. In another embodiment, claims are assigned first unique identifiers and line items in claims are assigned second unique identifiers. The unique identifiers are used to track every transaction. In another embodiment, an explanation of benefits relating to a claim is received and processed. Copayments are reallocated to line items according to the explanation of benefits. Writeoffs and transfers to next payers are performed automatically according to adjudication codes in the explanation of benefits.

The method may also include obtaining cost comparisons with generic substitutes or similar alternative pharmaceutical products. The system may further comprise automatically requesting a review by the prescriber for a list of similar substitutes or prior-authorization for third-party payers. The winner of the reverse auction is selected by the customer. A prescription benefits manager may offer options of a reverse auction, or non-auction fulfillment of the unfilled prescription in accordance with a benefit plan design.

To grant access, the patient executes a HIPAA release form and the third party is added to a list of third parties allowed to receive and access HIPAA compliant data via a social network website.

Abstract: A system and method for electronically verifying a patient's medication inventory comprises receiving an optical image of a medication label on a pill bottle or other medication container, translating said image into text data (e.g., comprising patient's name, medication name, dose, frequency and route of administration of medication); comparing the text data to known medications in a medication database and identifying any identical match. If no match is found, the system and method acts as an expert system to search the data in the medication database for historical user verified closest matches and to return the closest match with the highest user verified historical probability of being correct.
