  • Patent number: 10372903
Abstract: Provided is a fraud detection rule updating method enabling the updating of rules that serve as the basis for detecting malicious frames as necessary in an on-board network system. In an on-board network system equipped with multiple electronic control units (ECUs) that communicate via buses and fraud detecting ECUs that determine, based on fraud detection rules, whether messages transmitted on the buses conform to the rules, a fraud detection rule updating method is used in which delivery data including updated fraud detection rules is received from a server external to the on-board network system, and if a certain update condition is satisfied, the fraud detection rules in a fraud detecting ECU are updated to the updated fraud detection rules.

Abstract: In some examples, a processor on a vehicle may determine, based at least partially on information obtained from a sensor, that a fuel level of the vehicle is increasing. Further, the processor may determine that the fuel level has stabilized for a threshold time. In addition, the processor may determine an amount of fuel added to the vehicle, and may send, over a wireless network to a computing device, a communication indicating the amount of fuel added. In some cases, the computing device may compare the amount of fuel indicated in the communication from the processor with an amount of fuel indicated in information received from a point-of-sale device for determining a difference.

  • Patent number: 10354264
Abstract: Contact recommendations based on purchase history are described. A system creates a directed graph of nodes in which at least some of the nodes are connected by directed arcs, wherein a directed arc from a first node to a second node represents a conditional probability that previous users who purchased a first contact also purchased a second contact. The system identifies a set of contacts purchased by a current user. The system estimates a prospective purchase probability based on a historical probability that previous users purchased a specific contact and a related probability that previous users who purchased the specific contact also purchased a contact in the set of contacts, for each candidate contact. The system outputs a recommendation for the current user to purchase a recommended candidate contact based on a corresponding prospective purchase probability.
