  • Patent number: 9934290
Abstract: A method for serving a request for hierarchical data includes receiving, at a processing circuit, a request for hierarchical data stored in one or more databases. The request includes an indication of a particular data hierarchy. The method further includes identifying, by the processing circuit, one or more entity count records corresponding to the particular data hierarchy. The entity count records indicate a distribution of the hierarchical data within the data hierarchy. The method further includes splitting the request for hierarchical data into a plurality of sharded requests based on the distribution of the hierarchical data indicated by the one or more entity count records, assigning the plurality of sharded requests to one or more processing sites for processing at least a subset of the sharded requests in parallel, and reporting a combined result of processing the plurality of sharded requests.

  • Patent number: 9928385
Abstract: A method of providing security in a computer system includes performing a memory refresh of a window of memory locations in a memory, and in which each memory location stores a version value and a block of ciphertext. The version value may be updated with each write operation at a memory location; and the block of ciphertext may be produced with a key that changes with each write operation and from memory location to memory location. The memory refresh may include performing a periodic read operation followed by a corresponding write operation at each memory location. Between the read and write operations, the version value stored at the memory location may be compared with a chronologically earliest version value stored at any memory location of the window, and validity of the block of ciphertext stored at the memory location may be verified based on the comparison.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for session completion through co-browsing is claimed. The method can include establishing a content browsing session between a first computing device and a content server serving access to content to the first computing device and maintaining state data for the content browsing session. A co-browsing arrangement of the content can be created as between the first computing device and a second computing device and at least a subset of the state data can be cloned for use by the second computing device during co-browsing of the content. Thereafter, a modified form of the subset of the state data can be received from the second computing device resulting from the co-browsing of the content by the second computing device and the modified form of the subset of the state data can be provided to the first computing device for use during the content browsing session.

  • Patent number: 9917851
Abstract: A variety of techniques are disclosed for detection of advanced persistent threats and similar malware. In one aspect, the detection of certain network traffic at a gateway is used to trigger a query of an originating endpoint, which can use internal logs to identify a local process that is sourcing the network traffic. In another aspect, an endpoint is configured to periodically generate and transmit a secure heartbeat, so that an interruption of the heartbeat can be used to signal the possible presence of malware. In another aspect, other information such as local and global reputation information is used to provide context for more accurate malware detection.
