The computer system performs internal usage testing to determine how the software application is recommended for use, and conducts use tests to determine how a specified client uses the features of the software application as compared to the determined recommended use. Then, based on the calculated risk and the determined use of the features, the computer system provides a recommendation for the specified client indicating which portions of the software application are to undergo client-specific validation. In another scenario, a computer system applies change control when upgrading a software application from a first version to a second version.

  • Patent number: 10664359
Abstract: Techniques for determining one or more replication paths for resources in different failure domains, while maintaining a target resiliency level, are disclosed. A replication path is a sequence of at least a subset of the set of resources. Based on the sequence, a resource is selected for replicating at least a portion of the resource consumers corresponding to each of the subset of resources. A replication path may be determined by adding a resource to the replication path and/or replacing one resource with another resource to modify the replication path. The modified replication path maintains the target resiliency level if the modified replication path does not include any loop of a length less than or equal to the target resiliency level.

  • Patent number: 10614401
Abstract: A multiplier is utilized to quantify a cybersecurity risk level of a portfolio of entities (e.g., companies) and enable actions to mitigate that quantified risk. In doing so, features or attributes of one or more companies in a portfolio are compared to features or attributes of one or more companies that experienced an adverse cybersecurity event (e.g. a data breach). Further, a degree of dependency, such as a matrix of a number of shared vendors and the proximity of those vendors to the companies, can be measured between (1) portfolio companies and one or more companies that experienced a cybersecurity event, and/or (2) the portfolio companies themselves to better quantify the risk. That is, to more meaningfully analyze a cybersecurity event that occurred at one or more companies and better predict the likelihood of an occurrence at portfolio companies, embodiments can determine an n-degree interdependency between companies.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention generally relate to methods and systems for operating authorization rules. An authorization rule has conditions that may be satisfied by an authorization request. A rule is rotated between the first mode and the second mode over a time interval wherein a first set of authorization requests are received. A first subset of the first set of authorization requests may not be rejected. After the first time interval, the authorization requests that were not rejected may be validated through an independent process. An accuracy rate for the rule is determined based on the portion of authorization requests that are valid and satisfied the conditions of the rule.

  • Patent number: 10510034
Abstract: A compliance determination and enforcement platform is described. A plurality of factors are stored in association with each of a plurality of accounts. A factor entering module enters factors from each user account into a compliance score model. The compliance score model determines a compliance score for each one of the accounts based on the respective factors associated with the respective account. A comparator compares the compliance score for each account with a compliance reference score to determine a subset of the accounts that fail compliance and a subset of the accounts that meet compliance. A flagging unit flags the user accounts that fail compliance to indicate non-compliant accounts. A corrective action system allows for determining, for each one of the accounts that is flagged as non-compliant, whether the account is bad or good, entering the determination into a feedback system and closing the account.
